25km time trial. What are the yesterdays gaps worth for the better placed riders? Who will lead the GC after todays stage? Obvious options are i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Bobridge, i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/gzl.png Westra or i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ven.png Craven.
And who will win the stage?
Oz seems to be the only team, who really can lose today as they don`t only have the two best time trialists in i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Rogers and i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Ford but also so many other options. 5 Oz riders within the top10 favourites. One rider though wants to improve his GC and is the one, who is Oz biggest opponent: i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lvc.png Reus. The winner of 2012 lost a bit time to the stronger puncheurs but wants to step up today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0168.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Ford is one of the earliest starters and obviously sets the best time.
None of those riders starting with the same conditions early on was able to beat the time. This means neither Olman (3.), Ligthard (4.), Gretsch (5.), Johansson (2.) with their actual positions.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0176.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Rogers as similar strong time trialist has a bit weaker conditions. While the wind comes from behind over most parts today, the wind speed went down a bit for him.
So it`s quite a surprise to see him only in 10th at the first section and 6th in the finish 53s behind Ford.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0182.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/jag.png Tennant is another mid starter and has worse conditions than the first riders.
Almost the same times as Rogers all over the course and in the end 1s faster though!

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0184.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/kzi.png Boaro has better conditions again even though still far from the early starters. As 26th he is quite far down in the GC but should be able to climb a lot today. 4th at the intermediate and also 4th in the finish being only 31s behind.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0187.jpg

Quite a late catch but i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Koren definitely deserves a mention. 16th in the GC and while he did not have the best conditions he beats most similar rated time trialists to take 2nd behind his team mate Ford. Strong ride by him.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0189.jpg

The 2nd though does not last long as i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/lvc.png Reus comes in and is the closest to Ford so far. 15s at half time and even a bit faster on the 2nd but still 11s down.
Wind is getting stronger again.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/pbn.png Konovalovas though with a decent ride only as 14th 61s down.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0192.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/abc.png Kangert might have hoped for a bit more actually. Taht said 9th is not too bad being 38s down. Will keep him ahead of Konovalovas but behind Reus.

Also yesterdays stage winner and 6th in the GC just came in. i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/b3b.png Lloyd though is no time trialist and being 101st 2'50 down will see him dropping a bit.
Also i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/amx.png Mehr-Wenige is no time trialist and is just a few seconds better. But due to his attack yesterday he will stay in the top10 while Lloyd drops out.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0196.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/gzl.png Westra was surprisingly strong and was pretty much able to keep contact with the top puncheurs. This will deliver him a podium GC after this stage as he comes in 12th 47s down which means quite a gap to the next rider.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0198.jpg

This one will be i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/jag.png Dowsett. The Brit gained enough time to keep inside the top4 even though it was very close. Reus sitting in 5th now is just 8s behind him.
For a weak time trialist the 4th is probably quite good in those "combination" races.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0200.jpg

Now the question for the GC lead. Westra has the provisional lead as he already finished. Craven and Bobridge the last two on the road.
i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ven.png Craven with a decent ride here being just a little bit slower than the Dutch. 4s in the end which sees him staying ahead.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game%202014/Czech%20Republic/mg2014_czech_3_PCM0202.jpg

i439.photobucket.com/albums/qq112/Gustavovskiy/microjerseys14/ozc.png Bobridge is the strongest time trialist of those top puncheurs yesterday. So it`s no surprise that he keeps the jersey. He even extends the lead as he comes in as 3rd today just behind Ford and Reus.

So while Ford took profit from the better conditions early on, the GC riders all had the same conditions which is good to see.
And as expected a pure Oz domination even without Rogers, who had one of the worst conditions. 4 Oz riders in the top6 of the stage only disturbed by Reus in 2nd and Johansson in 5th.

GC wise the time trialist have taken over with only Dowsett (4.), Mehr-Wenige (9.) and eventually also De Maar (8.) and Hermans (10.) as weaker riders today.
