Stage 4 is rated hilly due too it's up and down nature, but the run in is flat, possibly one for Impey or Bellis depending on how hard it is, although you would imagine that Red Bull want it to be hard while Rapha want it too be easy. Interesting dichotomy there. Monfort is the other favourrite as we start in the wind and rain
After breakawys making it the past two days Bianchi are not going to miss out a third time, with 2 riders up front today. The order over the top is: Shikai, Locatelli, Kelderman, Martynrnko and Baez
Kelderman wins the second climb ahead of Shikai and Baez, putting Shikai into the lead in the KoM classification
Shikai gets the third climb with Kelderman second this time and Baez again third
The break roll through the sprint point with Kelderman getting maximum points, Baez and Shikai next. The breaks lead is now 6 minutes with 60km to go and Red Bull have picked up the chase
Kelderman gets the second sprint as well, Shikai getting second while the Biachi duo continue not to do anything more than sit at the back of the break
Up the final climb of the day and 100% Me are going all out to catch the break, and have dropped Partridge in doing so
A couple of their domestiques drop back to help him, although you can't help but feel it's a lost cause
Only 13 riders remain in the front group:
Bellis and Dowsett (Rapha)
Rooijakkers, Monfort and Rabon (Bianchi)
Augustyn (Export)
Pires (Cerne)
and 6 from Red Bull: Gerrans, Vorganov, Kirchen, Impey, Clazati and Mori.
As such Bellis and Monfort feel they have to attack or they are in serious trouble.
Up front Locatelli has left the rest behind
Augustyn and Pires follow, the attackers, Surely Red Bull will chase this down
The attackers catch the break with the peleton just behind
And it all comes back together
Pires tries an attack when he hoeps no one is watching
Bellis Monfort and Augustyn attack again
The catch Pires just before the top as Monfort gets the points. Augustyn and Pires are next
Red Bull struggle to get organised as a 20 second lead over the top turns into 40" a kilometre later
With 10km to go however Red Bull have brought themselves back into contention
And Mori is the one who makes the catch, surely Impey will win the stage now
5km to go and Bellis is leading the peleton in with Impey on his wheel. Mori is in yellow by 30 second so if he can hold the peleton up a bit Partridge may hold onto his jersey
2km to go and Rapha have slowed the peleton right down
1200m to go and the sprint starts, Impey in Bellis's wheel, Monfort on Dowsett's
Monfort blocks Impey in
Allowing Bellis to take a second victory, Monfort gets second, while Impey only manages third. Red Bull reallly should have done better today. Rabon beats Dowsett to 4th.
Biondo leads in the yellow jersey group who managed to pull the gap down to a minute, meaning that Red Bull's stategy was even more stupid as Partridge keeps yellow.
