Tour de Slovenie - Stage 1

The first of just 4 stages in this race, it should be an interesting one

Theres a breakaway, and who else but Ivan Seledkov is in there!

Ostergaard, Flickinger, Bole, Scholz and House are with him.

Bole and Scholz got a little gap over the top of the first KoM

The 6 came back together though and when the decisive split was to come at the next KoM hill, Seledkov was with the other 2

Scholz, Bole and Seledkov still had 2'40 with 29km to go

The chase never really materialised though - perhaps due to the fact that many sprinters had been dropped in the hills. The 3 breakaway riders would decide the stage. Bole is the best on paper, but Scholz beat him at the last intermediate sprint. Scholz will lead out

Scholz starts to fade though and is even passed by Seledkov

Bole looks over his right shoulder, sees Scholz way back and starts to celebrate ... but Seledkov is flying on the left!! I dont believe it - Seledkov has won!!

Bole still has some reason to celebrate though, thanks to time bonuses gained on the road, it will be he in the leaders jersey, and not Seledkov.

Casper wins the bunch sprint for 4th
