A very flat finale, with most competitions pretty much decided, the most important things for the riders is to stay on their bikes.
Roelandts will be looking for his hat-trick here, can the other sprinters deny him? Lo Cicero went much too early, Guarnieri was also too premature with Bazajev out of position.
It’s going to be a still short hop today with the winds that we have seen on previous stages non-existent. We get, like yesterday, a seven man break. You may as well give it a go today, being the last day.
Meintjes (29th at 18.57) Delgerbayar (117ty at 53.07) Schurter (26th at 17.13) Hayakawa (89th at 42.19) Hnik (103rd at 44.55) Rodriguez Galindo (32nd at 20.12) Preidler (21st at 13.15)
Again like yesterday a few riders who could move up to a decent GC if the break is successful.
The two intermediate sprints are not contested, the results are
It’s not going to get the chance to fight out for stage glory, once again Armavia are the main team chasing with Vespa and Bouygues sending a token rider up front.
They finish on circuits today and the final straight is a pretty simple long straight, they’ll be no excuses today.
The catch is made with 5.5km to go, the chasers have pretty much got this spot on.
3.5km to go:
Once again we have the three trains.
Ascani, Richeze, Guarnieri, Bazajev, Andriato
Wang, Matzka, Lo Cicero, Manarelli, Manan
Jacobs, Weylandt, Roelandts
2.3km to go: The trains hold steady
Andriato moves across to shunt Manan off the Armavia train. Murray, Lorenzetto, Baumann and Bouhanni are also on the back of this.
1.9km to go: It's a messy first drop.
Vespa look in pole position as the Armavia and Bouygues trains veer left.
1.5km to go:
Richeze and Weylandt gap their main sprinters as Ascani blocks in the Armavia train. Only Bazajev of the followers has a decent position here.
Under the kite
Guarnieri and Roelandts have moved back towards their final lead outs. Bazajev looks dangerous on Guarnieri’s wheel, Torckler has come from nowhere to nip past the Armavia train. Lo Cicero is holding behind his lead-out, he could be leaving it too late.
750m left
Guarnieri hugs the rail as Bazajev moves into open road so to avoid being blocked by Richeze and Weylandt. Roelandts has sensibly moved to the opposite rail.
Lo Cicero is moving his big hulk as Torckler is paying for his earlier efforts. Manarelli and Andriato are also in the frame, though all these later ones will struggled to beat Vespa's chief lead out Richeze.
500m left
It’ll be tight with Bazajev poking his nose out in front, but Roelandts is right there. Lo Cicero is the best of the second rank with Manarelli also going fast.
There is the line and what a late burst by Lo Cicero.
But it’s too late to stop Roelandts three-peating, a fourth stage win for his team as well.
Lo Cicero is 2nd, Bazajev 3rd, Manarelli 4th, Guarnieri 5th, Manan 6th, Andriato 7th, Baumann 8th, Petit 9th, Crespo 10th
A third stage win for Roelandts with Bazajev 3rd confirming his 2nd place in the points comp ahead of Guarneiri and Lo Cicero. Lorenzetto had a poor sprint slipping him down to 5th on the points standings.

GC
No GC changes today and Castano produces a fine win considering his age, Iglinski will be pleased with a big leaders performance whereas Serpa completes an experienced looking podium. The climbers really won out here, Ratiy will be disappointed with 5th this was an chance to break his virginity. Larsson and Peraud didn't climb well enough to live with the mountain goats.

Roelandts took three wins, three seconds and a fourth on his way to a comfortable points jersey. Bazajev didn't get a stage win, but proved more consistent than Guarnieri, whose stage 2 stage win was a false dawn.Lo Cicero just got his act together twice, even on this stage he was a bit too late. Breakaway man Gate just sneaks into the points scoring positions.

Teams
CT teams are getting a high degree of success from C1 stage races with even the weaker teams like JK Cycling and Cadburys enjoying a degree of success. Sauber produced a heartening display on the tougher stages in this race and then got a breakaway stage win.
