A flat TT of 11km where there are only two questions to be asked:
1. Which B&O rider will win? Bouet or Pluchkin?
2. Can Pluchkin beat Stetina by 45 seconds or more to take 3rd place in the GC?

Steven Burke (Virgin B) was an early leader with 11'28 before fellow attacker from Stage 7 Paul Manning (IrnBru B) beat him with 11'20. Brad Huff (Slipstream) was the next to take the lead with 11'14 before Hayden Roulston (IrnBru B) then set a time of 11'13.

This time was torn apart by the Chinese rider Haijun Ma though, who beat the 11 minute barrier with 10'59.

Ma's lead was short though as Maxime Bouet posted a new best time of 10'48.

Now we just had to wait for Pluchkin, who did not disappoint. He won the time trial with a time of 10'39.

Peter Stetina was over a minute slower finishing just 55th out of 77, meaning Pluchkin will rise to 3rd.
