Its a flat stage which will end in an uphill sprint, should be interesting.
No breaks went away so the sprinters could contest the intermediate sprints. Haidar Anuawar comfortably won the first one ahead of Breschel and Turano.
The 2nd sprint was tougher on a 1.4% gradient - but that didnt stop Jason Kenny taking 2nd! Haidar Anuawar won it, while Breschel edged out Huff and Turano for 3rd.
An attack finally happened 5km before the final KoM sprint of the tour. Its Daniel Martin.
He takes the KoM points as Paul Manning and Stephen Burke pursue him.
The two brits never manage to catch Martin, but the Irishmans hopes end with 10km to go.
He was caught right before the 3rd intermediate sprint, and despite taking an early advantage, Breschel couldnt win it as Haidar Anuawar yet again won in a tight finish. Huff 2nd and Breschel 3rd.
The sprint gave Haidar Anuawar, Huff, Breschel, Turano and Gallardo a big advantage as we head towards the finish. Theres also a larger group ahead of the peleton which contains Pluchkin.
As a penalty for winning the intermediate sprint, Anuawar has to lead out the sprint as they take on a 4% gradient
But look at Abakoumov, he's flying up the hill!
The climb steepens to 5% as Abakoumov passes his teammate with 1km to go
And he cruises to a comfortable victory. Its a Nippo 1-2 aswell as noone can get around Anuawar.
Pluchkin takes 7th and earns time over the other gc riders, lifting him up to 4th - ahead of Jimenez Sanchez.
