The opening TTT comes at 18km, featuring just a minor ascend close to the line. It's unlikely that we will see huge gaps today, but any seconds may count.

Bonsucro should be considered the strongest team today: in a rather weak TTT-field here, this squad brought a decent bunch of TTlers. And the team's success in the Monterrey TTT ain't forgotton, too.

23'15" is the first time to beat here..

But opposing to Sauber, the team is one of today's more promising line-ups, so their new best time ain't too surprising:

taking the lead by 27" on Sauber!

+ 12" as provisional 2nd..

+ 2" as new 2nd behind Risa though!

+ 16" on Risa eventually. Solid performance.

+ 19" on Bonsucro though, with teams like In-n-Out, Euskaltel or Nordeus finishing ahead!

+ 9" as 4th, missing the podium close!

Carlos Oyarzun is the first man in yellow, thanks to his team living up to it's expectations and taking out the TTT by a small margin on Risa and Dell.. the weakest team Eddie Stobart finished 43" slower, so it wasn't the biggest gaps - as expected. Anyway, with the tour now already heading for three more key stages, Bonsucro put it's GC-contenders, where they wanted them to be.
