It's ITT time and it's all very close in the GC because of the breakaways. It will be interesting to see if Caethoven can keep hold of his jersey after this stage, but there is no doubt over the fact that he will not win this stage. Lang is the favourite but Wiggins and Gutierrez Palacios are also in with a chance.

Jamieson took the lead from the early boys but an 18'24 won't win him the stage once the big boys start. In fact it didn't even make it to the big boys as Godfrey went into the lead with an 18'19.

The the first "real" time triallist of the stage was Escobar and he stormed into the lead, even taking over that Agritubel rider in the background. The new time-to-beat is 17'33. The next good time triallist was Hruska but he could only managed a second place with an 18'14. Vicioso is technically as good as Hruska and Escobar but he slots into 3rd place with an 18'17.

Hoste is, technically, a better time trialler than all riders that have past so far, but he disappoints with a 17'58 and comes in 2nd place. Grabovski then went 3rd with an 18'07.

However Lang is on the road now, he should be able to finally knock Escobar off the top-spot.

He comes in, in a 17'59!!!! He goes 3rd. Disaster for him and Designa, what a poor ride. The next rider through will be Wiggins, hopefully he won't be as disappointing.

He rides a 17'57!!! He goes 2nd. Escobar's time must really be top-notch for these big guys to be missing it. Gutierrez Palacios is the next big-gun to go through.

He posts a 17'54. Still 21 seconds behind Escobar but 2nd place for Gutierrez Palacios.

There are no more riders to come through so Escobar wins!!!! What a suprise in this ITT. He beat a lot of riders that he shouldn't have, but then again he is Spanish and he does ride for Relax. There's only one question left though...
