Post Danmark Rundt - Stage 6
roturn
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_106.jpg
We enter the final stage in Denmark this year. It`s another flat course for the sprinters although there are some hills as well.
The overall has been made yesterday but maybe some riders in especially Bonnet will try to get bonus seconds again to mix it a bit.

A big group of 10 riders in the early breakaway. Lots of them we have already seen active on other stages.
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/Trilux.png Duyn, Forke
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/focus.png Thill, Nechita
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/Meiji.png Kwok
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/koppert.png Kamyshev, McCarthy
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/saab.png Aistrup
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/puma.png Rolland
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/wwe.png Sörensen
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_107.jpg

Duyn takes the first KoM ahead of Kwok and Kamyshev. Nothing to see of Sörensen here although he is well positioned there.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_109.jpg

Unicredit, Volkswagen and Rothaus do the pace behind. Several well known sprinters are still looking for their stage win and today is the last chance.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_110.jpg

Kwok, Sörensen, McCarthy is the order at the sprint. Not that important today.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_111.jpg

With 100km to go and 7'45 for the group Pokerstars supports the working teams now. Nolf is really highering the pace.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_112.jpg

2nd KoM and Aistrup is the first ahead of Kwok and Rolland.
Sörensen must be careful now as the first two already had some points before.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_114.jpg

The Swede also wins the next with Rolland and Kamysev following. Dangerous situation for WWE now, who had the jersey on every single stage.
The narrow road in this sprint also plays a role here as the late "sprinters" won`t get a chance to come to the front in time.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_115.jpg

Kwok, McCarthy and Aistrup the next time. Both already passed him.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_116.jpg

And so it`s not important that Sörensen finally shows himself at the last KoM ahead of Aistrup and Rolland.
Kwok collected enough and is the new leader now ahead of Aistrup and the WWE duo Tankink/Sörensen. Bad riding by WWE in this stage.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_117.jpg

With 13km left the gap is down to 60s and it`s time for a late attack by one of BPost`s cobbler. It`s Albert and he is starting to close the gap.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_118.jpg

The group is so close already but the pace is a bit gone behind. Pokerstars starting to form their sprint train.
4,7km and still 43s.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_120.jpg

So the sprinter teams really lose their last chance without any real reason. Good for the break, bad for Aistrup, who starts the sprint from first position. Albert meanwhile joined the group and so it`s a sprint of 11 riders.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_122.jpg

And the Belgium takes the win. He was the strongest in the end saving lots of energy during the stage.
Duyn and Sörensen follow next.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_123.jpg

In the peloton Haedo decides the sprint ahead of Napolitano. Again nothing to see from Vantomme, who really had a disappointing race here.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_6_124.jpg
Reus wins the overall with his team mate following as 3rd. Great race for Volkswagen of course. Koren makes it a good race for CalGiant as 2nd. Boom as 4th at least saved the race a tiny bit while Bonnet takes a good 5th for his team.
