Post Danmark Rundt - Stage 2
roturn
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_20.jpg
Todays stage is a bit more hilly than the first and also the final kilometer is slightly uphill. So maybe a home win for Matti Breschel?

Or will we see the top sprinters again like Mohs, Vantomme, Haedo or Napolitano?

Yesterdays surprising winner might struggle on the final km but maybe he can surprise again getting a boost by the leader jersey.

4 riders in todays break.
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/Trilux.png Duyn
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/wwe.png Tankink
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/Meiji.png Kwok
i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc512/ANFreeman/Jersey%20Sprites/puma.png Dumoulin
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_21.jpg

The same teams are doing the work behind. Rothaus, Bpost and Volkswagen.
Yesterday Vantomme missed the support in the final but nevertheless they are working harder than the other big teams like UniCredit, Pokerstars and CalGiant.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_22.jpg

Tankink wins the first KoM sprint and taking care of it for his teammate Pineau. Duyn and Kwok coming over the line next.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_23.jpg

Just like yesterday Lars Boom is doing a lot of work for Vantomme. This could end in a disaster for Rothaus as the Dutch is one of the big top favourites and should probably save his energy for the time trial.
Also Pokerstars and Unicredit have sent one guy to the front now.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_24.jpg

Tankink also wins the 2nd KoM ahead of Kwok and Dumoulin.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_25.jpg

Therefore he isn`t really sprinting for the points where Duyn wins ahead of Kwok and Dumoulin.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_26.jpg

Still he missed the final punch at the 3rd KoM. Kwok wins this time with Dumoulin and Duyn following. No points for Tankink.
Still he was able to collect one more point than Kwok and will wear the jersey tomorrow. So it stays in the hands of WWE.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_27.jpg

Last sprint goes to Kwok ahead of Duyn and Dumoulin.
Just 20km to go and still 1'30 for the group. But behind the sprinter teams unsheathe now.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_28.jpg

Pokerstars, Rothaus and Unicredit form their trains while catching Tankink as last of the breakaway with 5km to go.
Today Vantomme still has one more helper left in Iglinski.
Drujon somehow is the only other sprinter having contact to one of the trains now in an excellent position behind Vantomme.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_30.jpg

But a few kilometers later we see another situation. Mohs in 2nd position behind Van Impe. Then in the middle Baumann and Vantomme with Drujon, Haedo, Breschel and Haussler behind him.
Nothing to see of the Unicredit train for Napolitano and also nothing to see of the leader jersey of Dekkers.
Just like yesterday Rothaus seems to have gone too early in the wind but also Mohs has just one helper left.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_31.jpg

With 1,6km left Rothaus has overtaken the Pokerstars train and Vantomme goes into the wind very early again. Mohs somehow missed the start and is still a gap behind Van Impe.
Best position now for the riders behind Vantomme. In especially Drujon, Haedo, Breschel, Haussler as also Croket and Bauer.
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/Man%20Game/Denmark/mg_denmark_2_32.jpg

Strong sprint by the Vantomme keeping most of his opponents behind but Haussler and Breschel still have been able to overtake him with their advantage on the uphill terrain.
In the end Haussler wins closely ahead of the Dane and Vantomme in 3rd.
Drujon, Haedo, Croket and Bauer come next. Napolitano as 8th with a decent result after his poor positioning while Mohs as 20th totally disappointed today even behind his team mates Van Impe and Geslin.
The leader jersey of Dekkers finished as 9th today and will lose the lead to Heinrich Haussler.
