Favourites today are Olman, Stannard and Dempster
Stannard is first to set a quick time: 19'15" Will this be a benchmark time?
Millar is the rider after Stannard and although he runs him close, Millar falls 2 seconds short
In fact the three British TT specialists are in a row as here comes Wiggins he gets the Same time as Stannard, and has been given the lead
Olman is the the first person 1'25" behind Hushovd, he has a decent chance at a high overall placing, although he was number one favourite he struggled to match the British pace and fell 8 seconds short
Aramendia, the young Spaniard is cycling beautifuly and manages +5" to set himself as leader in the clubhouse
Mazur takes 6th at +13"
Dempster is the final time trial specialist, if he can't beat Wiggins I doubt anyone can.
Wow, 15 seconds faster Dempster is now a serious threat to Hushovd
Chtioui comes in at +21"
De Gendt disappoints, at +37" hes not even in the top ten for the stage
Cappelle is the first rider with a shot at defending his position, he is currently 9th, with a 14 second advantage on the peleton, however he is +57" so falls way back
Holloway has a 20 second lead on Dempster can he hold on to it,
nope +56" sends him into a provisional 8th
Craven is 2 seconds ahead of Holloway and a much better time trialler.
he gets +16" 4th overall and he is now in the hot seat
Clement is the same time as Craven
He will be disapointed with +27" dropping him to 3rd provisionally
Claeys has a 38" lead, however he looses alot of time and drops well back on the overall
Impey's win yesterday gives him 58 seconds to lose to Dempster and he is going to need every one
He falls just short of that, +1'04" meaning he falls to 4th
Monfort has a good day and he could move up to second, +40" puts him in the hot seat for now
Dall'Antonia can afford to drop 4 seconds to Monfort, it's going to be tight
+43", He just squeaks in front by 1 second
Hushovd, isn't under much pressure, and he comes in tenth anyway +26" securing the jersey and probably the tour
So Hushovd has all but won this tour, and with Dall'Antonia getting second could we have back to back 1-2 in the CT, when was the last itme that happened?
