There are a few decent sprinters here - a surprise as this is the only flat road stage and those late climbs could hinder the sprinters.

A break went clear: Rooijackers, Vandewalle, Merino Criado, Jeannesson, Sarkisov, Kaisen, Perry, Glomser

Rooijackers is looking for the KoM jersey and is the only one to attack on the first climb

But the break are caught with 27km to go, before we got to the next 2 climbs - halting Rooijackers hopes

Those who went for the pts are expected to drop back, so it is surprising when Haedo attacks up to them and then tries to go on alone when they all drop back. Wasted energy?
