Fothen and Anton are at 6'10, Nibali and Van den Broeck at 6'26 and Trofimov at 6'47 - while Valls, Scarponi, Dombrowski and Brambilla were best of the next group, some 8 and a half minutes behind.

No chance in the GC of the Top Two but Trofimov has started losing ground. Madrazo goes ahead of Ricco, Bakelant falls 6 minutes to 13, while Sella is a bng gainer from 13th to 10th.

Trofimov's points competition lead is cut to just 4 over Cunego. Ben Nasser safely remains the KoM leader on 64. Atapuma scored 28 day to go 7th.

U25 Top 2 Dombrowski and Scarponi finished together, so no change there. Pendleton's considerably increased their Teams classification lead - from 3 to 13 minutes.
