No climbs on today's stage so it perfectly suits the sprinters. Hermans should also have no problems keeping the yellow jersey unless something unpredicteble will happen
There are 8 riders in today's breakaway: Petrie - Armstrong, Dupont, Te Brake, Balck, O'Loughlin, Medici, Wacker and Cassidy. Two teams have sent 2 riders there, Ultra Adventure and Vespa
Wiggle and Irn Bru are the main chasers of the breakaway in the pack. Wiggle are there as holders of 2 jersey, by Trusov and Hermans, while Irn Bru are definitly looking for a win from Mohs. Nokia and 100% ME also expresed interested in catching the breakaway so they would have a chance at the stage win with their sprinters, Castenada and Swift
With 25 left from today's stage and with the pack coming faster and faster, Cassidy went away from the other escapes
And he made a good decision as the others were caught with 20 to go by a mixture of teams leading the pack
Cassidy just stayed in front for another 5 kilometres before he was caught and the breakaway was officialy ended
The preparations for the sprint started and it looks like Starbucks and Vespa have big plans for today
But with 3km left to ride, when the sprint started Starbucks lost the lead there to the EON Ruhrgas train, while Vespa are over shined by Lego
Gajek, who was right behind the EON Ruhrgas, makes his move to take the lead there, bringing Castenada and Mohs after him
When the race rached the final kilometre 5 riders still had realy chances to take the stage win: De Fauw, Gajek, Castenada, Moinard and Mohs
It the last corner it seems like going to be between Castenada and De Fauw, with the other 3 riders right after them
But De Fauw isn't strong enough to keep it up with Castenada and he also loses the second spot to Mohs
Mohs was faster than Castenada in the final metres but it was too late and the Nokia - Nike rider takes the win. De Fauw hanged on the third spot, with Minard and Swift completing the top5 of the stage
