It's time for an ITT now, and the favourites are yet again Cancellara and Millar. Bonnet would be up there but there are doubts over his fitness after his performance in the last stage.

Bonnet did however set the fastest time with a 20'00".

But it was clear that he wasn't at full fitness when Elijzen surpased his time moments later with a 19'51". Cobo then managed to take second place with a 19'57".

However, Castaño blitzed the course and recorded a 19'35". Unfortunatley for him, moments later his time was beaten by Marc De Maar who went through 1 second quicker. Chavanel then went quicker, again by 1 second. A big suprise though as Rebellin took the lead with exactly the same time as Chavanel.

Millar came through in a disappointing 6th place. The only riders capable of a good finish now were Posthuma and Cancellara. Maybe Boonen as well.

Posthuma came through and set a 19'15", he slots in to first place and waits for Cancellara to come through. Verbrugge had to go through first though and gave Posthuma a bit of a scare as he went 2nd with a 19'29.

Cancellara was next though and came in 2nd!! Posthuma has beaten Cancellara. The Swiss TT champ recorded a 19'22", 7 seconds slower than Posthuma. The only rider left on the road was Boonen, and he crossed the line in.

25th place. Not as good as we might have hoped after his stage 1 performance. So Cancellara takes back the leaders jersey, 12 seconds ahead of Posthuma in 2nd and 20 seconds ahead of Boonen in 3rd. Also, Rebellin came 4th today so will be one to watch in the hilly stage.
