A very short ITT today. We are expecting an Accumalux 1-2 with them bringing both Millar and Cancellara. The next best time trialist is Bonnet (AG2R).
Vanendert was the first "real" time trialist and he took the lead with a 10'01" which was then equalled by Sebastien Rosseler, but Vanandert stayed top.
Michael Ford predictably took the lead after them with a 9'59".
Dominique Cornu then took the lead with an impressive ride, coming in at 9'56". Nicki Terpstra then equalled that time but mili-seconds put the Fed-Ex man into 2nd.
Then Laidler went 3rd for AG2R with a 9'59".
Huge suprise though as Brian Vandborg of Discovery takes the lead with a 9'53". However, next through would be Millar...
He posted a...9'56". Disappointing from him, but he takes 2nd place for the time being.
Until, a superb ride by 1 rider named Clement (Cycling24) as he posts a 9'53" to go 2nd on mili-seconds.
Then yet another podium change as Bert Grabsch (Carlsberg) posts yet another 9'53 and he takes 2nd place. Unfortunatley for all those on the podium, Cancellara was next through...
And he completely blitzed the course taking first place by 18 seconds with a 9'35". Very impressive ride by him, I have no idea why he isn't the TT world champion.
Verbrugghe (France TV) then took 3rd with another 9'53" time.
But a huge suprise as the Belgian TT Champion takes 2nd...who's that?
It's Boonen! Very impressive ride by him and rides a 5'52", he's obviously on form and will be feared in the sprints now.
