Dauphiné Libere - Stage 3
CrueTrue
This stage is another flat stage, probably for the sprinters. It's going slightly uphill just before the finish line, but it shouldn't be any problem for the sprinters. There's also a few mountain points on the route, but the Kozo-guy from Ferrari will definitely keep his jersey until the next stages.

A break of 7 riders got away from the peloton: Scheunemann, Bossoni, Vandevelde, Gerrans, De Maar, Hivert and Mironov. It didn't take long, though, before it broke up again. On the climb, De Maar and Gerrans dropped Scheunemann, Hivert, Bossoni and Vandevelde who had already dropped Mironov earlier on the climb. This, of course, also made it more difficult for the two groups to stay away from the peloton.

The gap decreased, decreased and decreased. It didn't take long for the peloton to close down the gap to Mironov, and not very surprisingly, the rest were caught with 30 km to go. There are really many teams who are interested in a sprint finish, so it's definitely some difficult conditions the breakaway riders have.

Anyway, without any other action we forward to the sprint finish. De Jongh is leading out for the Belgian champion Steegmans in the first sprint train, and in the 2nd it's Celestino leading out for Barbosa. Behind them, we have Paolini, Haedo, Haussler, etc., etc..

1 km to go, and it seems to be a battle between Steegmans and Paolini! There's a few wheels down to Bonsergent, Barbosa and Haedo.

But ... JJ takes the win! Perfectly timed sprint.
