Another hilly stage now

Saldarriaga, Ulanowski and Luke Rowe are the breakaway

With 60km to go, the gap to the break at 5 minutes, and 5 riders attack from the peleton - Docker, Goss, Vogondy, Ericsson and Wyss. They last until 45km to go

By 30km to go, Ulanowski has been dropped by the break - and Kai Reus attacks!

Caruso is the first to respond - and then its Ignatiev

Ghyllebert, Cornu, Gil, Scarponi, De Maar, Bertagnolli, Taaramae, Elmiger and Wegelius also respond - with only Caruso of the counterattackers who dont get a gap

They pick up Ulanowski, while Gil and Scarponi get a gap on the other 10 attackers

Gil drops Scarponi, and catches Rowe and Saldarriaga

But with attackers towards the final KoM of the day, all of the attackers come together again and it is Reus, Taaramae and De Maar crossing the top first

The group settles with 7km to go, 10 left, with a 1 minute lead on a chase of 4.

Of those 4, 3 were dropped from the front: Saldarriaga, Scarponi and Elmiger - and another is a new attacker, Stef Clement - the peleton are 30 seconds further behind

Clement presses on and catches the lead group with 4km to go - with Wiggle at the back, for some reason Bertagnolli thinks teammate Rowe is the best man to follow for the sprint, despite the Young Brit having been on the attack all day.

Coming into the sprint now, Wegelius is on the front - but unlucky to stay there

But if any of these riders want to gain time today, they need to get a move on. Devenyns, Bruseghin and Ericsson are leading the way

Gil sprints into the lead, Ghyllebert and Ignatiev look well placed

Ignatiev should win easily, but he seems unable to do anything and is left behind as Gil moves ahead

Ghyllebert makes his move now though - with Cornu also going strong

And Cornu wins! Edging past Ghyllebert on the line. Ignatiev found his sprint legs, but too late, and is only 5th - retaining the race lead though.

Bad news for the attackers though, they went too slow on the closing stages and dont gain any time on the chasing peleton.
