Acevedo would look to solidify the KOM jersey today, but with the KOM point coming with 15 KM to go that was never guaranteed.



There was a huge amount of interest in shutting down the break, Bacardi Limited, with the yellow jersey, were doing their fair share of chasing.

Petrie - Armstrong gives his team a highlight to leave this race with by attacking out of the peloton briefly with 23 KM to go with the break well in sight. The attack would not last long.



Indeed the break don't even survive until the KOM point is reached. Redecker, while setting the tempo for the peloton, would claim the max KOM points on offer to make another rider tied for the lead in the KOM competition.



No more attacks with 5 KM to go, a sprint would decide this one.

Greipel follows up his team's lead-out and has a good gap with 200 meters to go, however, has he gone to early?

Greipel still leads with 100 meters to go, but his gap has diminished, is he resistant enough to hold off, the Spaniard, Ventoso and Holloway in what looks to be a three horse race for the win?



Big win for Ventoso! The Team CSC-Orbea rider takes a definitive stage win by two bike lengths which rocks him to 2nd place in GC.

Vantomme & Van Staeyen would finish very quickly and round out the podium with Greipel and Holloway really running out of gas in the final meters.

Van Staeyen moves back into the race lead thanks to the bonus seconds ahead of the final stage. A final stage, with everything poised the way it is, which is set to be a real mouth-watering watermelon of a stage!
