Welcome to Dunkirk, where we have one breif climb in the middle of stage 1, but it is really a sprinters race, with Vantomme, Hushovd and surprisingly Blythe as favourites. Rapha have been unstoppable this year, but surely Blythe can't win this one.
Rapha and Trilux work together in the break, as Rowsell and Zepunkte break away.
Renang and Viviani join them to give us a nice 4 man breakaway
Viviani starts the sprint from the back, but cruises past his companions to win, Zepunkte beats Rowsell to second.
Renang just holds off Zepunkte to take the Climbers jersey for tomorrow, with Viviani in third
Focus were putting a lot of pressure on at the front and have split the peloton in two, Saab are working hard to close the gap, although you can see that Focus are dropping back as they managed to drop Drujon.
After 20km of desperate chasing it comes back together
In the final sprint point Viviani again shows hes quickest, Zepunkte and Rowsell are second and third.
18km to go, and with the break 80 seconds ahead, Vanspeybrouck tries to attack the Focus lead peloton.
Gaudin gets on the front to pull him back.
13km to go and Vanspeybrouck attacks again
12km to go and he reaches the break
Although they all attack away from him
And they are all pulled back
with 6.5 km to go everyone at the front of the peloton tries to sprint for the sprint point
Mohs wins ahead of Vantomme and Van Locke, but who will take the big prize?
7 sprinters went clear, so Haussler tries to attack across to them
The whole peloton is back together
with 3km to go Skujins has got a gap and he tries to sprint off, Drujon is in second place
Drujon just waits, allowing Skujins to get a large gap
which backfires when Skujins just stops sprinting
Eichler and Broers come past him
Van Hummel is pulling Langeveld up to them
Kirsch is coming up on the right
The real sprinters have recovered now and are flying forwards, led by Santos
Santos takes the lead, Vantomme and Mohs are following him.
They pull out of the slipstream
Here they come, it's touch and go
The three are side by side
Mohs takes the victory, with vantomme just pipping Santos to second in the photo finish
Hushovd is 4th, while Focus will be disapointed that Drujon could only get 5th after they worked all day
