2012 DB: Features
CrueTrue
First of all, these are the main changes between the Expansion Pack and the 2012 DB:

- 83 teams. Rosters have been updated to 2012. Of these 83 teams, 54 have 2012 graphics (shirts, transferts, logos)
- 3175 riders - 1677 of them are free agents, including riders who are coming back from doping suspensions in 2012
- Updated stats
- 2012 photos for 50 teams
- Rider statistics/palmares updated to 2011
- National champions updated to 2011
- 16 new races and lots of profile updates for existing races (fewer duplicates)
- 2012 race routes for 27 races, including the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, the World Championship, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and the Tour Down Under
- Several new variants (now 10 different World Championship routes, 8 different Tour de France routes and 6 different Vuelta routes)
- A few new future sponsors, Hong Kong added as scoutable country and other minor changes
- Equipment section has been redone and contains lots of 2012 equipment. As a plus, it's easily updateable, meaning that new 2012 equipment can be added to any career as it's released without requiring a restart of the career

As I said, the 2012 profiles are included with the Expansion Pack and are thus also a part of the 2012 DB.

That's 83 teams... isn't it easier for you to download the DB and see? (you can also download the .cdb file by carmelobymelo, he only changed stats and such - no added or deleted riders).

Has any work been done on the scouting section i.e. better starting stats for the young riders?

CrueTrue
No, but I plan on using Ruben's files (which I suppose you know from PPDB). He just didn't send them yet Wink

If it's done by the time of the release, then yes. But for that ASO needs to release the route details and the stagemakers need to do it in time.

Ok thanks

Great news, had hoped Ruben's work would be included. Great stuff

Is the Tour De San Luis supposed to start before the Tour Down Under?
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.

When CrueTrue added the Tour de San Luis for the Exp Pack, he used the 2011 dates (in which the race started 1 day before the TDU). He hasn't changed any date for the 12 DB, so it's indeed supposed to be like that. Not that it couldn't be changed though for the final version (using this post to suggest it: you could change dates of San Luis, there's quite a difference from last to this year and it shouldn't create much trouble).

Yeah about that. I lost my work when I reinstalled my PC (had back upped most of my data, but forgot about this). So I had to redownload my own files, which are a bit outdated.

Luckily fine tuning it to the way I had it shouldn't take too long
