Once again the front cover gives away how little things have changed. All outside legs identical, all positions are linked to at least one other

No Richard, all the outside legs are identical because the artist is lazy, not because nothing has changed.

Then hire an unlazy artist! Or get the thousands of graphic artists on cyanide forums/here to design one for them. They use all the stuff their members make in the games, so what would be different!?

Because this is a cover and not in-game. There is a difference between drawing textures and drawing pictures.

Usually, it's based on a real life photo. Isn't this too?
