With the 2009 season having ended a couple of days ago, we are now ready to release a more complete version of the Expansion Pack. This version contains 101 teams, a completely new list of free agents, 93 new races, even more equipment - and a lot more.
We've been working hard and have tested the DB over and over again, but as with any big release, it's difficult to find everything. Therefore, we're now releasing this as a Public Beta - the more eyes, the more bugs will be found

Yeah, that's why it doesn't work...
The reason why it crashes is because you're missing a file in your CM_Stages folder. You're missing it, because you didn't put the files there => you didn't install it right.
It's explained in the Installation.txt file. If you do what it says, it will work.
If you still can't make it work, wait for the Final Version. It's a self-installation file, making it easier for people who are not used to deal with this kind of stuff to install the DB.
