The current Management Game season has now ended, so it is time for applications to start for joining the game!
What is the Management Game? Well, take a look at the FAQ. https://www.pcmdaily.com/forum/viewthr...d_id=32087
In short, during the off-season you will decide on a sponsor/nationality for your team, create team goals, select your race calendar - and most importantly, buy riders for your team in the frenzied fun that is the transfer season. Then it is a case of deciding the race schedule for each rider in your team, and then following the season as it unfolds - commenting in race discussion threads, keeping up to date a Team HQ thread, and maybe even helping with the Race Reporting itself!
We are looking for new members to join, starting in the Continental division, who can be an active part of the game throughout the season. There's no fixed number of new managers that we will take, but usually there is more interest than we do have space for, so there are a couple of questions for you to answer - in order to help us decide who to pick:
1. What can you contribute towards the Management Game, in terms of activity and other aspects?
2. If selected, how do you intend to manage your team?
PM your answers to these questions to either me, Roturn or CountArach. After sending your PM, reply to this thread to say that you have applied.

Obviously i'm not applying... But SN, if you want any help making decisions i've dealt with a number of people who will be applying via my various "Story Games" and would like to offer up an opinion if wanted.
Equally no-one best mention starting an in-game magazine or Bulgaria

You had 11 days last year, but if I remember correctly, the applications started after the national championships. So maybe you will have a little bit more time this year. Just give yourself a day or 10 and you'll be safe.

I've been thinking long and hard since my failed application last year.
This year I will definitely be putting more into it. Which means I will have it in by the end of the night after deliberation of what to say.

On one hand I really want to join but I don't know if I really should...maybe i might wait one more year...
It really worries me that some of you claim to "be preparing an application for months", so most likely I'll hold off this year (Meaning I didn't prepare anything)
I'm also curious as to what else one can possibly contribute besides being active and reporting some races.

I wouldn't let that put you off. It's not going to be a case of simply picking the 'best' applications - that's exactly what I am trying to avoid this year, as it has perhaps been what we've done in the past.
If you want to join, then send in an app. It's only two questions, it doesn't need a whole load of preparation.

Just to add a bit to SN's post that might help calm you down:
There are always a few "dropouts" during the transfer season that stop the man-game from progessing at a decent pace. The applications are there for you to prove that you have thought about what to do if you get to join, so that you don't "randomly" join without thinking and get overwhelmed with everything you must do and prepare. There's also a chance that a team will disband before the transfer season so you need to be ready to jump in within a few days.
You can write a 100-word application and still be better than someone who spent months writing about how much he loves the mangame and wants to join.
