Well, good to see him win... What about the other guys ? (Kirchen, Schleck Brothers, Sanchez G) ???? Did they at least finish ?
A. Schleck retired after like 80 km.

Delage winning the sprint Shock

LoL @ Spilak reminded me off Rasmussen

He came off the road at least 3 times going down the Jaizkibel.

The weather was atrocious though.

Lol... But he didn't fell like Menchov in Le tour, right ?

Wow, pretty weak top 10.

I know it's often 2nd rate guys, who wins this race, but to see the top-10 with such few top riders is kinda dissapointing. Still the racing was ok.

Nah the race sucked, also because of the weather.

The fact that Delage can finish 3rd enough sums it up really.

Yes. His form is actually better than I anticipated. I just hope he'll go for the classification in La Vuelta, as the plan "Go for stage wins" never seems to work for him.
The tension and the spark.

There must be some kind of curse on Dutch riders this year.
Martijn Maaskant felt superb when he went over the Jaizkibel, and felt he could sprint for a very good result, and then he fell in the descent. Lars Boom was also in the first group over the Jaizkibel, but descended with too much fear after he saw Garate and Freire (teammates) fall.

What's with all that bullshit everytime they fall or get injured, no miracle they are outside of the top 10 of the country ranking. Just too much bad luck this season, it's sickening me.

He won't win the vuelta, doubt he could top 10 if his forms like the Giro, the only vuelta he could win would be the voelta portugal Grin which he is down to ride...

First of all, it's "Volta". Second of all, he has no chance. Portuguese teams have very good climbers. He has no chance of beating them. Don't be fooled by PCM stats of portuguese teams' riders.

Remember that Cobo last year made a point of going to the Volta a Portugal in top form to win it. He didn't even make the podium

Wasn't Cobo doped? Or suspected thereof? If he didn't reach podium on the Volta then I wonder what our Portuguese dudes are taking for breakfast.

Resident you are from Portugal?
I have heard something about portugeese climbs. One commentator was talking about them. He said that climbs in Portugal have very big average %(about 10-15) and they arent 1-2 km long like in Belgium, but 7-12 km long. Shock
Maybe im mistakin and Resident will say the true. Grin

But i dont know good climbers from Portugal. ....... ?

Don't be afraid to call me a Moron Pfft

There are climbs of about 8-10% incline up to about 10kms, but longer than 10kms, the climbs aren't more than 7 or 8% steep.

Anyway, go into PCM and check the profiles for the Volta. It's never very different from most years Wink

True but he'll have lots of chances for stage wins so if he's coming around with intentions he might replace Napolitano's last year performance and deliver some stage wins to Lampre.

btw love that new sign. I have a feeling you'll be really proud of it somewhere in the future Pfft
