Well we talk about cycling... we play a game about cycling...
So, why have we not talking about us cycling...
So do you ride and wear the lycra and the whole stuff.
I do, and proud of it. I love getting out on the bike (prefer doing it on the continent though)

Year 10 for 4 more days. Year 11 from September.
I dont need to jump traffic lights as theres a handy nature park that takes the more direct route. It has a cycle path, but people walk on it too

I am in year ten at school, for 4 more days, the same as Sporting is
I ride my bike whenever i have the time, i enjoy it very much, as you can go wherever you please until, you get knackered it's about then when you start going home.
I personally have ridden here in England and in Spain, i can tell you, Spain is great for cycling. Drivers are very friendly they never overtake, and if they do they leave a cars width, at least between you. It is however very warm in Spain. I was cycling in 35degrees celsius heat (we're lucky if we get 20 in England), and the mountains are so long it takes so much out of you.
In England i love the short sharp hills, such as Terrington as i have mentioned on many occasions. It is a 1km hill at a pretty much constant 25% gradient, i always ride up it as it is my favourite hill in Yorkshire. Sometimes me and my dad venture to the North Yorkshire Moors but that is very hard work.
I don't ride for a team currently but i would like to in the future.
I ride an Olmo bike, with a few upgrades. Olmo was the make of bike that Oscar Freire won the world champs on in 1999, as i said to doddy, yes it's that old.
This is why i want a new bike, hopefully a Specialized as my dad has the bike that Cipollini rode on, the zebra bike and it's very good.
Anyway that enough for this long post, sorry i just really like cycling

nice, a nature park in my area is about as likely to happen as Brown resigning today.
And for 4 more days i'm in year 10 as well... a pattern here.
I've got to sort out my hills, and you think Spains good for cycling, go to Belgium WOW!

i also cycle to and from school its a 6mile round trip and i do it on my BMX.
i do a bike ride every year called the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride, it is 70miles/100kms, and features my favourite climb, Terrington and also Setringham (spelling?) which is a longer climb at around 2kms, but about an average gradient of 12% i think
i ride with my dad, my mate's dad and my dad's mate

Anyone ever tried riding around the lake in Rutland? There are many short steep hills and descents there!
I have ridden in Switzerland in the past, but being 8 at the time I cant remember much about it.

and has anyone every considered, or done the Coast to Coast, my dad is trying to make me do it this year but i'm not sure i'm ready, its 150 miles/about 200kms
btw, i'm sure doddy didn't mean this to be a purely British cycling topic so other nationalities of people are allowed to post their cycling stuff as well

I'm not really suited for cycling .. maybe as a sprinter or a cobbles rider, but there's no chance that I'd manage to get over a mountain. Luckily for me, Denmark is all flat
No, seriously, I only ride to school, work girlfriend's house, etc.. Nothing spectacular. I love cycling, though. I just don't have a race bike. My dad just bought one a few days ago, so that might change things. |

anyone planning on doing the London Freewheel. I'm taking my road bike. It's like a dream. Road closures in London just for cyclists. Nice
