Interesting doping experiment

Tour de France Champion Posts: 29989 Joined: 20-10-2006 PCM$: 200.00	A German professor who's also a quite trained jogger (?) has tried to do the Alp 'd Huez with and without doping to see the effect. Without EPO he got up to the top of Alp 'd Huez on 70 minutes. After a two week EPO-treatment, he managed to do it in 66 minutes, but in the EPO-attempt the weather was much worse than on the first try (sun, no wind without EPO, rain and wind with EPO). Lance Armstrong used 40 minutes in 2004. He also says that his mentality changed a lot. He felt more aggressive, and he felt invulnerable - the steep road felt flat. Free Agent Posts: 105 Joined: 19-03-2007 PCM$: 200.00	Some years ago Mads Kaggestad also tried EPO for a medical expriment too see how it afected his body... I don`t know much about it, just heard it from a TV commentator during last years vuelta.

Neo-Pro Posts: 361 Joined: 05-03-2007 PCM$: 200.00	i think its a bad experiment since he didn't do it both ways to eliminate the possible variable that doing it a second time might be easier cause you know what to expect.
