Stage 2 results! Including the total points per rider as well now, so it might be easier for you to spot mistakes and tell me about it, in case there are any.

Just like yesterday everybody got the number one in their team, and this time the number two as well. No big points there, but nineteen points are obiously better than none. The nrs 3-5 (Vine, Affini and Vacek) were predicted by 5-6 people. They didn't give big points, but all of them equal or more than the numbers one and two. Alex, ember and knockout were able to predict the entire top-5 today, congratulations on that. Two good days in a row for alex and ember.
Hoole is a painful one for me, he could have netted me fifty points, but I decided to switch him for Tiberi or Asgreen this morning. Whereas nobody got Hoole, seancoll did a great job in selecting yesterday's winner Pedersen as the only one for the time trial, scoring 40 points for him. Hayter scoring him and Ollfardh ten points is also a nice welcome, and with the three points from McNulty and the bare minimum of Ayuso's one point seancoll is the winner of stage 2!

The consistency of alex and ember keeps them on top of the table, but after scoring only twenty points with stage 1, seancoll is now third. Knockout in fourth ahead of kb then, and the three Belgians on the three lowest spots so far. You could say our form is similar to WVA's form today. Good luck tomorrow!
Thank you for your updates after each of the first two stages, Nemo! Definitely a fun game. Very curious about today, I must say. Went with a breakaway approach, which will clearly be very costly if it comes down to a smaller group. But the temptation to "go for glory" was too big Will be fun to see how it plays out for the participants here, as it looks like the teams vary a fair bit for stage 3
Ranking time! As ember mentioned above, the teams indeed varied more than they did so far. This resulted both in a new high-score as well as a new low-score. So let's dive into the rankings with some quick words!

First of all, congratulations to us! For the third time in a row, everybody predicted the winner. Sadly enough for myself, ember and AbhishekLFC, this was the only rider we predicted in the top-10. Low-score but a consolidary high-five between the three of us, putting our name in the history books in some way at least.
The two people putting Strong on their list also finish first and second in the stage ranking. Alex keeping his good streak this way, and kandesbunzler also scoring welcome points. 45 point per manager, which is a new one day rider-high-score. For now at least. Some people learned from stage one, so this time four instead of two people selected Aular, giving four managers twenty points each. Alex the only manager predicting the entire podium, but apart from that he didn't select anyone else in the top-10. Numbers four and five, Rivera and Zambanini, weren't selected by anyone.
Onto number six then. Kandesbunzler selected Oldani, just like in stage one, but this time Oldani actually scored. Only kandesbunzler thought about him, scoring him fifty points, immediately beating those 45 points by Strong as a one day-rider-high score. This also brings kandesbunzler as the first manager to score more than 100 points on one stage! Laurens, who selected Oldani on stage one, didn't do it this time, and misses out on the Stefano points.
Similar story for Vendrame actually. Abhishek for example was a manager who put Vendrame in his list on stage one, but didn't this time. Knockout on the other hand will never stop believing in Vendrame, and his trust gets paid. 40 points this time around! Fiorelli, Scaroni and De Pretto give respectively 3, 2 and 1 manager(s) ten points each then. Special mention to Laurens for correctly predicting numbers 8 to 10.
In the rankings, we see some changes now:

Not everything changes, of course. Alex keeps scoring well and is the first manager to reach the 200-points milestone. Kandesbunzler's nice stage puts him onto second place now, whereas seancoll and knockout remain in third and fourth. Ember with the drop to fifth after a daring move that didn't pay off this time, whereas Ulrich keeps chilling mid-table for now. Ollfardh and Laurens moving up a bit, with Abhishek suffering from only ten points from Pedersen to drop back to penultimate place. We don't speak about the red lantern. As always, let me know if you spot a mistake! See you on Tuesday
Went with a breakaway win, failed spectacularly Suspect going meta/boring will be the way to collect points here, but I can definitely see myself do similar bad moves when we get to the more difficult stages again
Little update to keep ourselves amused on a rest day. A man has got to do something on a train ride.
Did I captain the right guy? That's a question I've asked myself already, since Tiberi scored nothing so far. Many other captain have also scored almost nothing, but since they are all GC guys (if we include sean's Pidcock), of course we're mostly looking at the GC points and the mountain stage points.
Don't have a clear overview of who missed what points because that's a bit too much work and checking, but sean for example didn't select Pidcock on stage 1. So that's around ten points missed (stage points and the 1.5 multiplier at the end). On the other hand, if you don't select your captain who gets picked 8 times and scores 5 points per pick, but instead choose a less popular rider as the only selector who then gets third and nets you 80 points of course is more interesting. I'll leave the tactical decisions up to you, but here's a little overview of how amazing our captain selections are so far. Obviously, with everybody picking GC guys, we get proven wrong by the numbers so far.

Ayuso with a cheeky point for his team leaders so far, but I can imagine he'll score a bit more later on. As always, if you spot a mistake, let me know.
Stage 4 has been raced, and we're back with some records and fun facts as well!

One of those fun facts: we are not perfect. For the first stage in this Giro d'Italia, not everybody was able to predict the correct winner. Van Uden was picked by five out of the six best scoring teams this stage. Number two Kooij, on the other hand, gave everyone points. Just like Pedersen and Groves in fourth and fifth.
Laurens did not select Van Uden, but did select his fellow countrymate Zijlaard, just like ember, who netted them both 40 points today. Laurens scores 80 points in total with 7 out of top-10 riders selected, but it's ember who does one better by selecting eight of the top-10 riders today. A new record! His 100 points are very welcome as well after his more daring tactics yesterday, but so far kandesbunzler's 105 high-score is going on strong.
Speaking about, kandesbunzler had a worse day today, as just like myself, he was only able to select the more popular and low scoring sprinters of the day. Alexkr00 with a bad day for the first time, with seancoll also only scoring just above thirty points. So let's see what that gives in the rankings.

The Maglia Rosa still for Rabobank. Or well, alexkr00 at least. He only just holds his lead over ember, coming back to second place and giving us a throwback to like 2/3 days ago. kandesbunzler drops a spot for now, but holds his place on the podium. Knockout seems to have cemented himself in the fourth spot already for some way, with Laurens rising to fifth after a good stage.
The two Americans in sixth and seventh then, with Ollfardh and Abhishek scoring decent so far, but looking for that one outlier that changes everything. We don't speak about the red lantern!
