Pretty darn fortunate that there was no time gap and worrying that Sosa was so inattentive. Same thing happened in Hallstatt where he didn't show much interested in contesting the finish. Hopefully just a blip.
Congrats to WJ, a nice start by Barguil.

Uneventful stage one for us with Stallaert not really sprinting. But Meintjes proves again that this kind of finish suits him, as he did in Poland. A time gap would've been great, but second place with a few bonus seconds is a good start still. Ndayisenga is in contention for a few depth GC points and Van Eetvelt can compete for a Top 3-5 in the U25 rankings - that's pretty much all of our bases covered. Hopefully we can keep that positive momentum going.
Congrats WJ and thanks for the nice report kb

Thanks KB for the report, amazing to see the Duvel jerseys at the front of a C1 stage race, really hoping this bodes well for Smith's continued success. Amazing first stage for the team even though Smith's aggression probably burned a bit too much energy to hang on for the win. Still though, excellent to see and hoping for some much needed points at the end of Day 6.

Thanks for a great report!
Love to see Barguil waking up and grabbing a win. There's a slight chance that we might snatch a promotion spot if he keeps up this form to close out the season, with Meurisse having a few more race days to work with.

Lovely first stage with that pathetic sprint and a surprisingly sensible third place from Hayakawa. I'm going to guess he's probably done for the race but keep expecting him to magically smash the opposition in the next sprints.
Interesting first miuntain stage even if there were no gaps. Congrats on the win wj. It's funny to see Fortunato decide he wants to go.for that KoM after all the points have been assigned, but hey at least we're active in the race somehow. Loving the reports!

Well this shows us that the decisive stages will be 3 and 4. Today was good for us. Saw some of our domestiques on the front controlling the pace on the climb which is great to see and also Schleck sticking with the pack all the way to the finish and Beltran only just off. Bennett safely and without have to attack has gotten to the finish and moved into the top 10 in GC. Excellent stage for us.
Congrats to Barguil and whitejersey on the win. Thanks for a great report and keen to see how Scott does in stage 3!

Good to Trezise getting involved in the sprint on Stage 1.
Nice to see both Carcueva and Leemreize attentive and trying out some attacks on Stage 2. Good that they finished in the front group too. Hopefully we get some breakaway appearances in the later stages.
Congrats to the stage winners and thanks for the reports!

Some great strength in numbers on stage 2 for us, although we were fortunate that there were no gaps awarded at the front, as I'm worried how we'd handle a situation where Berhane is ahead of Penasa on GC. Hoping we can keep in this good form, stage 4 should suit Penasa best and if he can do well there I'm confident he can hang on for a good GC.

Kozhatayev with the other leaders so far. But more importantly, Seboka with the KOM lead!

The AI has gone completely insane
A climber going toe to toe with the top sprinters. But did Bernard blew his chance at top result with this move is what I fear.
Thanks KB

I downloaded the DB on my work laptop just to double check this but apparently 68 SP 74 ACC is indeed enough to get you a 6th and an 8th place in pancake flat C1 sprints if you can harness the power of friendship... or something. Anyway, very happy with the outcome, but certainly one of the more confusing results I've seen.

Oh my goodness, I guess I should be happy with Haller's best result of the season - but how do you get passed by a neo-pro in the last 100 meters??
Still a better result for us than some other top sprinters. Sympathy to others.
Big two days coming up for Sosa.

Pretty glad I am not a sprinter team at this race, nice few RDs down the gutter!
Thanks for the report and congrats to Abhi on the win!

I'm sorry, what?!!
Incredible result from level 1 Trezise. Didn't think I had any reason to tune in to the flat stages of this race but I was wrong apparently. This is as close to a Per type of neo-pro as we've ever seen since the former was on loan with in our first season! Rarely do we get this sort of luck, and I was hoping it would come from a break somewhere...
Thanks for the report!

It always feels good to see a 2001 or 2002 talent do well as the 'creator', so this time it's no different Of course a shame for the sprinter teams here with sprinter that have way better stats, hope they get some luck elsewhere.

Very good result from Leemreize. Hopefully there's not a lot of turmoil for him on the next stage. Love to see three young riders in the Top 5 of the U25s at the moment.
Congrats to Bushwackers and thanks for the report.
