Another nice cobbles result by Siric, who could take Polanc' role in the future after some more training and the latter's decline. Really intriguing rider, and great to see a homegrown talent slowly growing into a consistent Top 10 rider

I have no idea what you mean about him taking Polanc' role as they're very different riders.
Although I can tell you that I have no intention of selling him to Evonik!

Martin Hvastija:
If we want to have a good month we need to supplement our results in the cobbled classics with a good performance here. Lammertink hasn't been up to his usual standard this season and we need him to step up. Without a sprinter our focus is completely on the time-trials and subsequent GC.

It was another good performance from Ivan. His positioning was good through out the race. He ran out of power a bit on the uphill finish, but it's another top 10 result. Poljanec had a solid ride in the breakaway, but we're still waiting to see if another can crack the top 50.

The first two cobbled classics have certainly wetted our appetite for the classics. Ivan had one of his better races here last year so it's certainly one where we hope he can continue his improved results at. It's also the final preparation before the two monuments so we want to see a good showing.

Ivan had another very attentive race when it came to his positioning. He stuck to the favourites in the last 50 km. Following Wisniowski and saving his energy was a good tactical play as he could finish in the group of favourites. Unfortunately his legs and positioning let him down in the sprint as an even better result looked to be on the cards.

Compared to the other cobbled classics expectations are lower here. It was shown last season that we prefer the more varied classics with less total cobbled roads. Still we expect to improve a lot on last year and perhaps carry some of the momentum from De Ronde here.

For the first Grand Tour of the season we are entirely focused on the overall classification. Tao will lead our efforts in a similar way to how he did at the Vuelta last year. Habtemichael and Ciccone serve as his domestiques in the high mountains. We will also target the TTT and ITT for good stage results.

All hands on deck for Tao. Hopefully your team can use the TT kilometers well and not lose too much in the hills for Tao's sake.

Ivan really likes something about racing in Flanders. He had another good day. It was only in the last 20 km where he couldn't follow the favourites anymore. He still rode a smart race from there on and won the sprint to finish 7th. A top 10 result in a monument race is a great achievement yet again.

March signals the start of the Pro Tour cobbled season and this year was the first time in a long while that we had genuine expectations for the cobbled races. But before there was a rather uneventful trip to Nederland where we failed to impact the race through breakaways. The cobbles started in Italy and finished in Belgium. From Strada Appia Antica, to the Hungarian Cat Race (Macskako) and to E3 and Flanders, we got a top 10 result in each one of them thanks to Ivan Siric. Those results gave us great pride, showing we were able to develop a lad from Bosnia into one of the best cobbled classic riders in the world!
Since Colombia got postponed the only race we participated in was Praha-Karlovy Vary-Praha. The main Pro Tour stage race for time-trialists, it was time for some redemption for one Steven Lammertink. The Dutchman delivered with a strong performance in the 60 km time-trial to place 3rd overall.
So overall this was a month of racing full of feel good moments, but looking at the rankings we dropped from 8th to 12th and outside our desired top 10 finish. There are still plenty of races left, but the early part of the season is a crucial one for us, so we cannot be happy with where we are at the moment.

This race didn't go according to plan at all. We were constantly on the back foot due to poor positioning heading into the cobbled sections. Losing contact with the favourites and having to work our way back was always going to cost us. I can't fault our effort, but we need to be smarter if we want to do better in a race like this.

Expected slightly more from Pogacar in Liechtenstein (as you probably did, too), but it wasn't bad, either.
Siric getting back to one of his favourite races - but I still hope he'll finish behind Theuns this time (pretty sure he won't, guess Siric's great flat stat is worth a lot in this finale).

Martin Hvastija:
Unlike last year when we came here with Rajovic we are without a sprinter this time. We'll be relying on late attacking especially from Katrasnik with the likes of Siric and Groselj trying to mop up some depth points.

Gorazd Stangelj:
It was a very hard race and we didn't have the best legs on the day. Tadej battled as hard as he could and at the end we have to take the result we got.

Martin Hvastija:
We haven't been at this race since it's changed to a one day event. Therefore it's hard for us to set expectations. It's no Paris-Roubaix, but it has more climbing than most cobbled classics. Either could work for us or against us.
