Quite surprised Zhao lost 30 seconds there. The fact any rider lost 2 minutes in 7km seems extreme. Almost like they weren't riding at all compared to the leaders if we're comparing to a normal PCM road stage.

Changing conditions (wind) can have a huge impact in TTs. I've seen wind changing between 0 and 30 within the same TT race; if a rider has full tailwind and another one zero, that can make a major difference.
I'm wondering if wind could be disabled for (T)TT stages - I think they're already random enough without ^^

Uran sticking quite well on the uphill finish, gives me a bit of hope

Well if Aranburu losing 2 minutes in the prologue wasn't the end of his chances, finishing 73rd on the first climbing stage sure does. Really have not been impressed with him at all this year.

Stocek fought hard. Maybe Asgreen will get lucky with his own aggression later on.

I guess Raileanu is our leader now?

Kind of strange finish from us there, having Kwiatkowski poorly positioned, and then Amezawa and Bravo leading the team in the sprint itself. Based on the fact we seemed to do no work during the stage too, I believe, or at least hope, that this was a bad day for Kwiatkowski. If so, only loosing time to Beltran on a bad day, is good.

Now we need to rest for two days, and then Kwiatkowski is hopefully up for it on the Queen stage, which should be an absolute key for the overall here, seeing how few gaps this finish created.

Big congratulations on the win, redordead! Must admit Beltran so far this season has been everything I hoped Kwiatkowski to be on PCT level. Hopefully the latter can turn it around soon, preferrably before Pologne is done! Pfft

This is how we do Cool

Great showing from Beltran. A stage win and a gap to go with it Grin

He's in a good GC position now, but the gaps are so small we can't afford to take our eye off the ball. 2 flat stages now that we just need to get through without problems. I hope we can improve our depth in the other hilly stages, but at least Blikra and Gaudu are in decent spots. The latter maybe has a chance to win U25 classification Smile

Congrats to redordead, good to see Beltran riding to his potential.

No Kraftwerk rider in the front break is very bad news. Dulanjana hanging on to a top 10 GC, that looks like a tall order for the end of the race.

Can Haller defy his favourite status in the sprints? I doubt it.

Hope to see us get in breaks.

Thanks for the report LLS.

Surprisingly good result by Ndayisenga, even more surprising that we had at least a small presence near the front all through the stage. I certainly wouldn't mind him attempting to get into the Top 10, but I hope we still go for breakaways nonetheless. Congrats red, great ride by Beltran!

Is this 2019 Beltran? Cool awesome to see him win for Cedevita!

Would have been nice to be in the break, but enjoyed the report nonetheless. Great Beltran win again. Would be nice for us if Munoz could get into top-8 of the U25 to ensure at least one point in this race Smile A Manarelli top-8 in the coming sprint stages would also be very welcome.

Kinoshita did about as bad as acceptable in this field tbh. He should be competing with Ponzi on a stage like this, with Beltran and Kwiat just behind, but obviously the GC head start means they have preference with the game. Still lots of time to move up the rankings.

Solid breakaway efforts from Le Court & Gayral, at least getting us some tv time in this race.

And then Julian pops up a random 2nd place! PCM20 sprinting everybody!

Banana

The sprint gods just love us this year! I did not expect a Lander win at any point this year, let alone in an HC race. Maybe acceleration really is on the decline in favor of flat after all. In any case, always love to win, and especially love it from a Dane who we've hoped to acquire for a while.

Without any GC hopes, this was about as good as it could get for us, so I'm thrilled we took advantage of the opportunity. Guess we'll see if we can get another result tomorrow, and then it's all about aggression for the final few stages.

Thanks for the report!

What a joke

A sprinter who sprints, and finishes in a good position. Lovely!

Uran also in front of the split and with the pure puncheurs falling behind, getting a good GC out of this is looking more likely!

Three star favourite wins a sprint!! Congrats BBL.

Haller 2 star favourite - 39th.

Only Haller & Dulanjana avoided the 1'44'' split Sad

Kittel brave in the break but it was always doomed.

Yikes!?

Got lucky we avoided that one. This really now makes it unlikely to get any decent depth points. So it's all about Beltran.

Commiseration to those that were on the wrong end of that split Embarassed

Luck was on our side as we avoided any time loss with Kwiatkowski and Amezawa. One more of these, please, before we get to the hills again Smile

Congratulations on the win, bbl! Lander is a cool rider, nice to see him win Grin

Jura was definitely due for a win!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
