Hello and welcome to the Tour de France! It feels like only yesterday that Angel Madrazo took the race by storm to win it for a second time, and yet here we are, back again looking forward in anticipation to what the 2020 edition holds in store for us. An intriguing cast of returning stars and old and new challengers will be sure to provide us with tons of entertainment, but let’s look at the route on which they will do so first:

Week One

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/profiles/gt_tdf-1.jpg

It’s a tale of two races, really, with only a few short hills for the entire first half before going to the mountains and hardly ever coming back down until Paris. But first things first. We kick things off in the Dutch city of Utrecht with a 15 kilometer long individual time trial. The GC riders will be looking to gain a few seconds here and there on their rivals, but the main questions is, of course, which lucky time trialist will take the yellow jersey - and for how long can they keep it?

It’s then the sprinters’ turn for five of the next six days, at least on paper. Stage 3 is the first hilly stage with a finish atop the Mur de Huy, but if you look closely, Stage 6 ends with a very short but steep ascent as well. Nevertheless, lots of points and, via bonus seconds, potentially some GC glory are up for grabs, especially for the punchy sprinters.

Week Two

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/profiles/gt_tdf-2.jpg

Another chance for the puncheurs is followed by the next potentially big stage for the GC riders - a 31 kilometer long team time trial. Last year, on a similar course, gaps between the best and worst teams reached up to 3 minutes, although the main contenders were mostly seperated by less than a minute, at most a minute and a half.

Still, you’d like to have a nice GC position going into Stage 10, because that’s where the fun begins, at least for the mountain goats among the riders. We head into the Pyrenees first this year, starting off with a climb to the ski resort of La Pierre Saint Martin. It’s a long climb, but it flattens out towards the top, so we might not see huge gaps here yet. That may change on the next two stages, though:

On Stage 11, the riders pass the Col d’Aspin and the Col du Tourmalet in succession on their way to Cauterets, then have to conquer two Category 1 climbs before finishing on the Plateau de Beille the following day. Two hilly stages bring the riders closer to the Alps, but they can’t be complacent, as especially the second one lends itself to potential time gaps.

Week Three

pcmdaily.com/images/mg/2020/profiles/gt_tdf-3.jpg

In Valence, the sprinters have one more shot before Paris, but it doesn’t come easy at the end of a 187 kilometer long stage that is anything but flat. This is surely also one that breakaway riders have circled in red, similar to the following ride to Gap on Stage 16. And then we’re in the Alps for four brutal days.

The main attraction on Stage 17 is the long, arduous climb to the Col d’Allos, followed by the crisp ascent to the finish in Pra-Loup. Stage 18 has the riders on a constant up-and-down ride culminating on the Col du Glandon followed by a longer descent. The race will then be decided on two great mountain top finishes. Stage 19 features the Col de Chaussy, the Col de la Croix de Fer and the Col du Mollard on the way to La Toussuire, and not to be outdone, Stage 20 sends the riders over the Col de la Croix de Fer again from another side and tops it off with a finish on Alpe d’Huez.

The riders who are still standing then get their well-deserved plane ticket to Paris, where winners will be celebrated and sprinters fight for one last prestigeous victory. And that’s it.

It's only appropriate to start off with the reigning champions of Gazelle. Angel Madrazo is back again and once more, he's the strongest pure climber in the field. His entire skillset is elite and in the last year before his regression, he has the opportunity to achieve two historic feats at once: become the first back-to-back Tour de France winner, and the first rider to win the race three times.

Similar to last year, Madrazo has a solid squad to support him, with Denis Karnulin as his main lieutenant, decent depth and good time trialists for the TTT. However, after a disappointing season so far, he really has to step up his game if he wants to claim yellow again. The top spot in this list is his to a good extent by virtue of last year’s title, for his main challenger is not only stronger in a few key stats - he has also beaten the Spaniard handily in every single race this year, as well as the last time they rode a GT together.

That challenger is none other than Silvio Herklotz. Coming fresh of a dominant victory at the Tour de Suisse, against among others Angel Madrazo, he has his eyes set on the yellow jersey in his maiden Tour de France, and I’m sure anything but the top step on the Champs Élysées would count as a disappointment.

Herklotz excells with his great puncheur skills coupled with strong acceleration and fighting spirit. That combination has led to him taking stage win after stage win in the past. While Madrazo may be the better pure climber and has Herklotz beat in stamina and recovery, there’s no match for the German in high-intensity situations, and the route has more punchy finishes than last year to suit him.

Puma also brings a good team to support him, with two strong mountain domestiques and the rest of the squad geared towards the team time trial (Sütterlin will also target the opening ITT and both Ganna and Cavagna have a good chance to wear white after it). Despite Madrazo’s presence, I think many will see Silvio Herklotz as the man to beat.

One man who actually has experience with beating Herklotz in a GT is Simon Spilak. He did so as recently as last year’s Giro d’Italia. However, age has continued to take a toll on him and a repeat would certainly be a surprise. That said, surprises happen often enough and at the very least, Spilak is here to redeem himself for a dismal showing at this year’s Giro.

As the best pure hills rider of the favorites, the route suits him and he’s still an elite climber. Generali’s mountain support is not super impressive - though still decent -, but they brought one of the best TTT squads, which should leave him in a favorable position heading into the Pyrenees. And then, who knows what’s possible? The podium will be the goal at the very least.

Speaking of podiums: Joe Dombrowski is all too familiar with those. Finishing second in his last three GTs, including here last year, as well as in two additional races this year, he's very much ready to take the final step up. But is this the time? Madrazo beat him handily the last time around and the competition has gotten even stiffer.

But Dombrowski should not lose heart before the race has even started. He's still a Top 3-5 climber, one of the quickest as well which should do him well on this route. And with Aru and Brambilla, he has two of the top mountain domestiques. A few things breaking right here and there, and why shouldn't he be in the mix for yellow until the very end?

Interestingly, eBuddy is one of the few teams with top GC contenders who also bring a sprinter in Van Poppel. We'll get to the other sprinters as we go along, and also have a concise look at all of them in the general overview later on.

To complete last year's podium, Lachlan Morton has found his way back to France as well. He's been stellar all season, beating Madrazo and Herklotz in Liechtenstein (one place behind Dombrowski, by the way) and coming third to both of them recently in the Tour de Suisse.

In a similar boat as the American, Morton aims to repeat his podium place with one eye on an even better result. He's a fantastic climber, good on hills, with elite secondary stats. His lack of acceleration may hurt him, although he did just fine when he won the first mountain stage last year. Power (who is also eligible for the white jersey competition) should be a good lieutenant in the mountains as well. It's going to be a tough race, but a lot is possible for Morton.

"A lot is possible" fits few riders better than Romain Sicard. The home crowd's best hope for a good result, he can't keep up with the other top contenders in the high mountains, but he's aggressive and the increase in hilly stages should help him as much as anybody. In addition, his elite recovery could come into play more than last year, with the concentration of tough stages in the second half of the race.

In the final year of his prime, this is likely his last best shot at the Grand Tour podium that has eluded him so far. He's shown his capabilities more than once this season even against some of the other top contenders here and the route may suit him well, but the competition is still tough and his steady decline in the mountains last year after taking yellow early doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. As I said: a lot is possible.

There is, in my opinion, a pretty marked dropoff from the Top 6 to the next group of 6-8 GC contenders, who could fill the back half of the Top 10 and the first Top 15 spots in basically any order. But if one man stands out, it’s probably José Alarcon with his elite climbing, his Grand Tour resumee and solid results all year. Plus, Richard Carapaz serves as one of the best mountain domestiques.

Volvo, however, is also the team of one of the absolute top sprinters of the race. The sprinting field is much stronger this year, which we'll get to, but be assured that Jonas Ahlstrand will certainly want to add to his single Tour stage win from two years ago, and he will have good chances to do so.

But first, we continue with the GC contenders. Daan Olivier is among the best puncheurs and has the best resistance among this second tier of contenders. He's been consistent all season but lacked the stand-out result until scoring a fifth place at the Dauphiné a few weeks ago. After Top 10s in the Giro and Vuelta, he aims to complete the Top 10 treble at the Tour. It's certainly within reach, especially with a strong team (though lacking in the TTT department) behind him, including Zardini and Valls, who might feature in mountain breakaways too, as well as veteran and 8 time stage winner Dekker. But as I mentioned, the field is just very close in this rance.

Warren Barguil had his best GT result yet at this year's Giro and he confirmed his good shape with a sixth place at the Dauphiné. He's a very similar rider to Olivier, slightly worse hill and resistance stats, but better in recovery and he's one of the quickest of the contenders. He finished twice in the Top 10 already, though at times due to breakaways late in the race, and he will try his best to continue that streak.

With Schlegl (an outside white jersey contender) and Prado, Moser have decent mountain domestiques, and they also bring Gregory Soupe as an option for bunch sprints as well as a few strong time trialists to support Barguil in the TTT. Hepburn may also have his eyes set on the opening ITT.

Nairo Quintana can claim to be a better pure climber than the two listed above, but slightly worse backup stats and mainly a lack of acceleration combined with comparatively subpar puncheur qualities have him slipping down a few spots. Quintana has yet to have his breakout Grand Tour performance and while still well in his prime, he's not getting any younger.

Rakuten do their best to support him, the trio of Kratochvila, Costagli and Iino ranks high on the list of mountain squads - plus, they could also feature prominently in breakaways. Similar to his competitors, a wide range of outcomes is possible for Quintana, from fighting for a Top 5 spot to not even making the Top 10.

Fredrik Strand Galta is a unique case. His non-GT results this year are pretty poor, but he seems to turn it up a notch in Grand Tours. After two Top 10 results in the previous Tours, similar to Barguil at least in part fueled by well-timed successful breakaways, he scored another Top 10 in this year's Vuelta.

He will likely have to rely on his sense of opportunity again this time around, as - like Quintana - the more punchy elements of the route don't suit him, and - unlike Quintana - he does not have much of a team to support him in the mountains. Instead, the Aker squad looks made for breakaways, with guys like Vangstad, Trondsen or Yzeiraj, who wore the polkadots for two days last year.

One of two Wild Card teams, Azteca comes to Le Tour with actual GC ambitions - and an intriguing squad behind them. Ryan Eastman has been a consistent top rider in the continental circuit so far this season and his only excursion to WT levels at the Dauphiné turned out to be pretty successful. He's a strong climber, but has to hope that he can limit his losses in the hills.

On the other hand, Azteca actually has one of the more fearsome puncheurs of the entire race. Chaves will certainly be a force to be reckoned with. In addition, there are quite a few potential breakaway riders in this squad, as well as a longshot sprinting hope in Tivani. While nothing is guaranteed, Azteca has all the tools to feature prominently throughout the race.

A rider without any GT experience and with kind of a unique skill set, Louis Meintjes is tough to project. His strength on the hills is rivaled only by the likes of Spilak, Herklotz or Sicard, but he lacks the strong acceleration to complement it. His high recovery should help him greatly, but as a pure climber, he can't compete with the best.

He also lacks basically any team support in the mountains. Instead, cycleYorkshire also invests ressources in the sprint department with Enger and Cullaigh, and especially in the time trial department, where Durbridge is not only among the top favorites for the opening stage, but the team as a whole is well capable of fighting for the stage win in the TTT - which in turn might give Meintjes a well-needed boost before the mountains really begin.

As we move further down the list of GC contenders, we get to the riders for which the Top 10 would less be an expected result and more of a positive surprise. Primoz Roglic is such a case. A similar rider to Meintjes, he is slightly worse in key stats like hill, stamina and recovery, and he is also the first GC contender where we have to mention the TTT squad as a serious weakness. Possibly to the dismay of Evonik, Isostar is a strong contender for last place in the TTT, potentially costing Roglic north of two minutes.

But the way this team is set up, the hope might be to have riders in every breakaway possible, Roglic included later on, maybe to gain a few spots in the GC that way. Novak and Roman are also in the mix for some U25 points and Calmejane is one of the premier breakaway riders on hilly terrain.

ISA - Hexacta bring a very strong climbing squad here, but like his domestiques Ji, Campero and Affonso, leader Natnael Berhane is lacking good-to-great resistance and recovery stats, which could see him suffer especially later on. He has the potential to ride with the best, at least the best of the non-Top 6 contenders, as he showed in Liechtenstein, but the Top 15 results he's scored otherwise feel like a better range of outcomes for him here.

ISA don't put all their eggs in the mountain basket though, as they have capable breakaway riders for other terrains in Zakarin, Feng and to a lesser extent Dlamini, as well as Santos, whose strong flat stat could make up for his lower speed in sprints.

Team UBS come to France with a two-pronged approach. On the one hand, Patrick Schelling will lead their GC campaign. He's proven to be capable of Top 15s in Grand Tours before and his results so far inspire confidence. He's got decent puncheur skills and good resistance to complement it, eventhough he's not the greatest climber.

He will, however, be greatly aided by the second focus of the team: its great time trialing strength. Dillier is one of the main contenders for the opening time trial and has his eyes set on the yellow jersey, while the squad as a whole is certainly capable of taking the TTT if things break right.

EA Vesuvio bring one of the more fascinating and versatile teams to the Tour. For one, there's obviously Andy Schleck, the GT titan of years past, at one point going five GTs unbeaten. But his recent string of results point to a pretty steep cliff that he has fallen off of as the effects of age have started to become apparent. But Schleck is not the only, not even the primary potential point scorer for this team. Godoy, for one, is the runaway favorite for the white jersey and Goos should be a threat in any mountain breakaway.

And then there's the fierce sprinting duo of Van der Lijke and Holloway. The former is one of the best punchy sprinters, and considering the hills in the first few stages, he could be in for a big haul of points. He has to do better than last year though, when he scored only a single stage podium. Holloway on the other hand, while not per se the fastest, has been on an absolute tear this year, scoring three stage wins in the Tour de Suisse as just the most recent example.

It should be interesting to see how this dynamic shakes out - will they help each other and, together with Reimer, form the most threatening sprint train of the race? Or is it every man for himself?

With the main GC contenders out the way and two of the main sprinters in focus, this is also a good time to transition to the other top sprint contenders. As you may recall, in addition to the EA duo, we've seen Enger of cycleYorkshire and Van Poppel of eBuddy as solid sprinters, but the headliner so far is clearly Jonas Ahlstrand. Let's introduce his biggest rival:

Michael Van Stayen is by far the most accomplished Grand Tour sprinter of this field, with stage wins in six different years dating back all the way to 2011. As not only the man with the highest end speed but also one of the, if not the best puncheur, he has to be considered as a major favorite for basically 8 of the first 9 stages. In a similar vein as Arnaud Demare last year, he is also the easy choice for any green jersey bet.

Evonik give him Dzamastagic, one of the best leadout men out there, and Stoltz as support, the latter also being an option for flat attacks. But they spread their resources a bit by also bringing Chiarello and a few decent climbers. The Brazilian finished 7th in both this year's Giro and Dauphiné, so he certainly has a shot to play a role in the GC fight. But the success of this Tour for Evonik ultimately rests on Van Stayens shoulders.

The second wild card team Swisslion are all-in on the sprints. Lahcen Saber is their best bet to any sort of success, supported by Marin and Poljanec - because really, there's not much behind those three. But with one of the best flats among the sprinters, decent resistance and recovery and good all around speed, Saber is certainly capable of strong results. Swisslion are a surefire bet for last place in the teams competition, but at the end of the day, if Saber can add another GT stage win to his resumee, the race will have been a success, regardless of anything else.

Indosaat on the other hand have much more than just a sprinter - eventhough they also indeed have a really good sprinter. Romain Vanderbiest ranks second among the fast men in Tour de France stage wins, eventhough they are a bit in the past (2017 and 2013, respectively). His low resistance may be the limiting factor, but he has elite speed, and with his fastastic recovery and decent-enough climbing abilities, he could be one of the top favorites for the Champs Elysées. His support system of Markus and Speirs will suffer a bit more in the mountains, so we'll have to see if they'll still be with him.

But as I said, he's not the only Indosaat leader. Gregory Brenes and Kenny Elissonde rank high among potential KoM candidates, not least because the former came excruciatingly close last year, losing the jersey by 3 points on the last mountain stage after holding it for almost the entire race. Elissonde has great recovery, so should he be in the mix, he might be able to escape such a fate. But team management will sure hope that at least one of them will be up there in the fight for the polkadots.

Artem Samolenkov leads a very diverse Tinkoff team. He won a stage last year and has shown consistently good results all year, and with his all around solid skill set will be a name to watch out for in sprints again.

In addition, Chernetskiy is one of the more potent puncheurs, and Tinkoff has one of the deepest climbing squads with Mamykin, Rybalkin, Foliforov, Novikov and Sivakov. Expect to see many a Tinkoff rider in breakaways as soon as the terrain gets steeper. Especially Mamykin, with his good climbing skills and exceptional recovery could also be a good KoM contender.

Of all the sprinters we've talked about above, Giacomo Nizzolo is probably the one his team can be least confident in for a potentially outstanding result. He lacks behind a bit in high end speed and has a more pronounced resistance weakness than even Vanderbiest.

That said, Festina don't come otherwise empty-handed. Boily and Van Niekerk are very well-rounded riders and strong contenders in any hill or mountain breakaway they enter, which team management certainly hope will be many. In addition, Vlatos has a chance to compete for the yellow jersey on Stage 1, and their other teammates might do well in breakaways, too.

Breakaways will likely be the main source of points for the final two teams we discuss, as neither of them have a major GC or sprint threat. Although maybe that is selling Dion Smith short, as he finished 11th in this year's Vuelta. Still, in this field, a repeat of such a result would come as a bit of a shock.

That said, the team is well-positioned to make a lot of noise in the mountains and hills either way, with Gidich - another white jersey contender -, Azman and Teklehaimanot in addition to Smith. And young Jakobsen may have a shot at a good sprint result here and there.

Finally, we have Grieg - Maersk. Like Smith, Sigurd Nesset actually has a few decent GT results under his belt, including a 10th spot at the Giro this year. But again, he is way more likely to feature in breakaways and move up the ranks that way than compete with other GT contenders on equal footing. Iturria is a second option in the mountains while Lastra and Grossschartner focus on hilly terrain and Hansen may be a threat if a breakaways comes through on a flat stage. Grieg will have to rely on good instincts from their riders and a bit of luck to come away from this race with something tangible, but they might well be able to do just that.

MGUCI Era Stats

Like last year, we close with an overview of the all-time Tour de France stats, built on previous work by Aquarius and jandal7, showing the MGUCI-Era stage wins and days in the respective jersey. Last year, Taylor Phinney moved up to third in both stage wins and days in yellow and Arnaud Demare took the all-time lead for days in green. Neither of them are back, but Gregory Brenes has the chance to continue his climb on the list of days in the mountain jersey. We also see that Simon Spilak has a chance to take the all-time record for days in yellow.

Emboldened names denote riders that have won that classification, riders in italic compete this year.

So yeah, if you thought last year's preview was a bit much ... well, I just hope nobody thought that Grin But I hope that with the general overview, there's something for everone in here. We'll start on Saturday with Stage 1. I'll try to keep up the schedule again with every report going up at 9AM daily time.

Stunning preview. Should be a great battle for the win, with Herklotz as the favourite after his ride in Tour de Suisse.

It's a huge race for us in terms of staying up. We need some points here and hopefully Nesset can deliver something, as well as the rest of the team sniffing out some good breakaway opportunities.

That`s some brilliant preview and team for team overview alongside lots of stats to all jerseys!

Totally agree with my team. Olivier is a 2nd tier rider with very good backup stats, that might make him close to the 1st tier here and there, hopefully in especially for the hills and late stages whereas TTs always will make him struggle.

His support is huge here with Valls, Ciccone, Zardini, Koep, Dekker plus support in the hills with Vliegen/Boom.

Valls hopefully attacks later on for a decent GC/KoM himself which also could be Olivier`s goal.

A top10 absolutely wanted and needed here. After 2 rather weak GC GTs so far, where only stage wins shined out, a Dauphine like performance by Olivier is needed.

And last but not least, Dekker might need a breakaway, but it would be cool to see him climb onto the stage win podium list in his last real MG season. Wink

Herklotz to win with ease, though hopefully Dombrowski/Madrazo can at least challenge him a bit, whereas Spilak/Morton might only fight for the off the podium spots.

Great preview! Keen to follow - maybe Van Niekerk can get his hand on a stage win before moving down to CT (CC: SotD) Wink

Sick preview. Well done, mate!

The first week will be tough to follow for me, since we probably won't be amongst the breakaway teams. The hill stage doesn't look decisive, but it's obviously the only stage, where it may be interesting for Morton (maybe rather in terms of not losing stupid time though).

Our Top 3 goal will be challenging with this competition (which ain't surprising anymore). Must agree with roturn, that Morton probably will be challenging for 4-5 instead of 1-3 and despite his good season so far, he's been quite far behind the very elite riders most recently. It's a tricky situation yet again: just like with all our GTs this year, we do have a contender for the Top-3/5, but may end up with the minimum goal here and lack stage results eventually. May be good for our helpers to not throw away their GC positions early on then. Another rider or two in the Top 30/50s would be nice for a change.

Hopefully we can achieve a stage with with Ahlstrand/Alarcon or breakaway win with Carapaz...

Great preview!

Amazing preview, really looking forward to this race Grin

Totally forgot about my sponsor goal here and obviously i know we wont achieve it but i would love if we could finish all three GTs in the top 10. Though it will be difficult as the start list is stronger than the other two GTs. But Chiarello has an Hi / TT advantage over many rivals so i wouldnt rule him out of the top 10 fight. Top 15 should be possible at least. That said, the stronger startlist might lead to him joining breakaways which would also be a good thing. Particularly with how aggressive he has been in late attacks, i'm sure he would do well that way too.

But as the preview said, main focus is on the sprints. I'd love to get the points jersey here and the first week will be crucial for that. I brought the Becis + Dzamastagic leadout that seemed to work best last season and that fits the bumpy profiles of the first week very well. Stoltz was an obvious support choice but outside of him i focussed a lot on bringing rouleurs that can climb decently too due to the amount of small bumps on the sprinter stages. A rider like Riesebeek is probably a better fit than a real rouleur such as a Neilands would have been. Both Mas and Blums should be useful on flat stages as well as they are both far better on flat roads than many other climbers in the DB and their fl/mo/hi should benefit Van Stayen a lot as well. Fingers crossed that this lineup is strong enough to get MVS regularly into positions where he can deliver.

The overall GC should be interesting. I think Herklotz is the strongest rider here but Gazelle brought the better mountain support which could be crucial. Could lead towards a very interesting dynamic and I'm curious whether Puma's decision to focus so much on the TTT will pay off.

Stunning preview Cunego! Shock

My only gripe with it is you misspelled our star man Pfft

I hope Lahcen Saber can add another GT stage win to his palmares. Other then him our team is made of talents, but they're all decent flat riders, so he should have some support at least. Let's see how many make it to Paris

I'm obviously gonna be cheering for Isostar here, but I also wanna see Spilak do well after his horrible luck in the Giro.

Good luck everyone Smile

Awesome preview! Hopefully we can fight for the KOM jersey, the u25 jersey and a Top10 with Roglic. Let's hope for an agressive race! And for the lanterne rouge in the TTT to 1) attack and 2) finally beat Evonik in something!

If I get to see Krigbaum or Asgreen in a breakaway on the biggest stage possible, I will be a happy man.

Great preview. As a French team I feel a bit embarassed with the team I have decided to send here.

We will bring absolutely nothing to the GC battle, so let's hope to see our riders very very active. Looking at the quality of those leaders here I could think that only a few breakaways will actually stick though. It might rather be in the sprintdepartment that those breaks will follow through - and there I could suspect that we would rather be interested in keeping things together for Nizzolo.

On paper Nizzolo is the most interesting rider we have here in terms of points potential - although I do hope that Vlatos will finally get his good stage, which he is yet to find this season!

Karatzios would be an interesting rider to see in the break - but mainly on the flat stuff.

While we lack a GC contender, we do have a good amount of riders capable of punching high on stages 3, 6, 8, 13, 14 (maybe), 15 and another maybe for stage 16. David Boily, Aidan van Niekerk, Anatoliy Budyak, Charalampas Kastrantas and William Barta are all very strong if they join the proper breaks - although I only expect Boily to be a potential stagehunter in the last part of the race. So all men on deck on stage 3, 6 and 8 please!

And PLEASE let Vlatos have a top day on the opener.

Fantastic preview.

Dombrowski might finally avoid the 2nd place curse, but it won't be in the way we were hoping.

Van Poppel might mix into some sprints. But looking at the stage wins list, perhaps I should start bringing Grosu back to the Tour as he is our best chance to get a good spot on that list Grin

Simply phenomenal preview. The little details, like each team riding together in the screenshots is great!

We have probably one of the deepest mountain squads here, but we also did at the last two GTs so Im sure I'll be in the bottom 5 for scoring again.

Amazing preview! Enjoyed reading through all of it, really in-depth about each team too, with some well-written thoughts. Nailed on for our team indeed. We're here for breakaways (and admittedly also XP gains), at least that's our hope for the flat stages. Then we need Galta to be given the green light to aim for breakaways in the mountains.

Herklotz must be the overall favourite after his Suisse win. Will be following this one very closely no matter how our team performs. After all, it's the biggest race of the season Grin

Hey look, the reporter is a former winner of this race Pfft Great job with the preview!

Looking forward to seeing some glimpse of Grossschartner on the grandest stage of them all. Also getting behind Saber to add to his Giro stage win with us a couple of years back.

Love the preview for what is the biggest race of the year! Plenty of reasons for us to get excited for this one especially with an early chance to grab Yellow with Durbridge, but with Meintjes and Enger we have plenty more chances of stage results.

I do still feel we have a relatively good chance of a GC top 10 with our TTT team and the amount of medium mountain stages but it will be a closely fought battle with the other second tier leaders.

Good luck everyone
