And again the topic of motorbikes - in UCI all they can do is talk the talk, but don't walk the walk. Incidents with motorbikes during races have become too frequent, UCI doesn't give two s**ts about it

In defence of the UCI they have put out much tighter guidelines on vehicles associated with road races. If you bother to read the information they put out it's very clearly illustrated alongside good explanation.
Unfortunately the UCI don't run the races and have almost no jurisdiction in the matter. They can tell the race organisers, RCS/ASO/etc, how they should be running the events, but it is upto those organisers to ensure the motos and cars adhere to those rules.
The exception being UCI run events, i.e. the Worlds, where they have direct control of the race organization.

Unless the UCI is the one organizing the actual race, there is not much more they can do. The next step for them really is to threaten the race organisers with financial penalty or dropping their race classification. But that'd be one hell of a fight.

In addition to that, guidelines won't have much impact if the moto/car drivers are a) inexperienced with their vehicle and/or b) not used to cyclist movements. Unfortunately both happen too often.

When are they bringing in drone cam? That's the way to go Smile They could roll the job of the motorbike, helicopter and static cameras into one.

I suppose weather conditions might make that a few years off being implementable on a grand scale.

I don't think that this is the problem, those crews usualy know what to do. It's mostly other inexperienced people causing the problems. A policeman not knowing how a peloton works, a sponsor car driven by a normal employee, local newspaper/radio moto etc.

To be fair I agree that no race radios is a good thing. The safety issue would be a mute point if the races were marshalled correctly. Proper marshalling and safe routes in the first place would negate the need.

They should allow radio communication between the team director and the road captain only. That would be one compromise.

Can you elaborate on why you think it would be better?

A race radio with only essential safety information wouldn't really harm the racing in any way as it's only safety information, all it would do would maximise rider safety and maybe help in such cases where the organisers need to spread information to all the riders.

But in this way if race radio announces the hazzards throughout the entire stage/race the riders would be way too cautious, won't bother taking any risks like attacking in the rain and nothing would change IMO - the same predictable stuff we see now.

I don't mean the regular hazards of the road, I mean stuff like an ambulance being parked around a blind corner on a descent because of a crash, it's not every single minor hazard would be reported but (I assume) they don't report every single minor hazard now either.
