Large amounts of doping have been found in Belgium. According to the medias, the doping has been found in several riders' homes, including riders from Quickstep.
Press conference should be going on in this very moment. Will be updated later.

Quick.Step riders? what a shock....NOT!!
I'm sorry if I sound aggressive, but that team just had doping written all over it.

No you are not aggressive at all. Starting to manager 40 milion court cases against newspaper. Very weak season after total domination spring last year. You have many of reasons for that.

according to cyclingnews, Franck Vandenbroucke has attempted suicide on wednesday, and is in grave condition.....the doctors refuse to comment on a prognosis....which usually means that it's looking pretty bleak...
the homes searched were of ten people, one them soigneur of Quick.Step. it was one of the houses in which doping products were found
the others may or may not have been riders, and may or may not have been Quick.Step people. confirmed is that it was neither Engels nor Tankink's houses

All of this stupid. I love cycling and it's a real shame to see this great sport enter a black cloud of darkness. I just hope we can resolve this and continue this enjoyable and easily the greatest sport in the world!!! |

it's necessary, if there is ever going to be hope of a clean sport.

After all this, I think it's naive to think that we are ever going to have a clean sport. Many of those who doped themselves in the 90's and were heavily involved are still a huge part of the sport, and with the latest affairs (Festina, Puerto, this, the Italian one, etc.) I can't believe that it's ever going to be cleaned. I have given up - now, I just watch it and enjoy all the excitement that the sport - after all - contains. |
