Well a thread for the EC qualification.
The draw is currently running and well I guess Löw would have wished that his idea was taken:
The minnows should play a Quali-qualifier as those games against the minnows are not that good for him.
Now he got Gibraltar Gibraltar is new in the UEFA and so also in the EC qualifiers.
Weird that France is allowed to play the EC qualification but is automatically qualified as otherwise they would need to play friendlies with weak opponents from somewhere.
Also it's the first EC that will have 24 teams and so every group first and second is automatically qualified with the best 3rd.
Then 4 teams are going through via Playoffs.

This is weird. Portugal on a 5 teams group with Denmark, Serbia, Armenia and Albania with the first two getting qualified and the best third also qualified and the remaining 3rd playing the playoff. Maybe this time Portugal doesn't need to play the playoffs.
Also France playing "forced" friendlies with this 5 teams. For sure, Portugal will not play with the best eleven with them.
And Gibraltar playing home in Algarve, will make possible two official matches on the same day on the same country for the same competition. |

Switzerland are dangerous but England couldn't have got a much better group. Especially seeing as the top two go through automatically, it would take a monumental cock-up that not even England can manage to not qualify automatically.
Also hoping for a Gibraltar win against Scotland.

Now that's a nice enough group. Could've done without Poland, but i love it when Germany play against Ireland. Reason being i can actually see that one live, hopefully.

Group A looks pretty hard. Netherlands are always rolling it in the qualification, so it will be interesting to see how Turkey and Czech Republic under new coach will do in the battle for 2nd spot.

You were right, Sutty. Wales were shit.
Meanwhile, Holland awful, with the Czechs( the team I gather patriotism for whenever they're on telly- I've got a shirt and everything) slightly less awful. Portugal finally rubbish- England finally half decent- Scotland finally average.
Disclaimer- Most of my posts are me thinking aloud. And most of what I think is rubbish.
