since I've already posted one inane thread about something that's bugging me about cycling (see the Sartasov thread), I thought I'd get the other inane pointless thing out of my system right now.

pronounciation:

Kiki, Kixi, Xiki, Xixi? I was pretty sure it was the first, but lately I've heard commentators say it all four ways. which is it? (bear in mind that each and every one of those is an extremely corny name and his parents should be shot).

any italians out there willing to offer some help?

"Chichi" is a very simple pronounciation. Probably "Kiki" is the most accurate choice. All commentators here pronounce it that way.

that's what I thought, especially since every other italian name I can think of with a "ch" is pronounced "k", but since I've heard different commentators lately, I've wondered a bit

ch is always pronounced as k in Italian(at least that is what I was told by my sister who had italian at school).

I learned Italian, and it's definitely Kikki. But I don't know how to pronounce stagiare... Can some1 help me?Smile

Probably english pronounciation for "Stayear" is similar to the correct one.
