Everyone else forgot, so Ill start the October topic.
The British National Track Championships starts in a few days, with the exciting prospect of a final between Millar and Wiggins.
Brit talk asides, I wonder how long it will take for the topic to become another doping discussion

Bettini has now announced that he will retire after Giro di Lombardia in 2008.
Vasseur will end his career after this season
It also seems like the Anti Doping Contract will be thrown in the dust bin. UCI has acknowledged that it's not legally binding. |

Armstrong has now reacted to the Landis case: He says if it had been a jury who decided the outcome, Landis would have won the case by far. He thinks it's really unfair and undeserved.
Wooow, what a surprise. |

after that MSN conversation was caught between Vaughters and Andreu, and IF you're going to place any credit on those two, it would seem either Armstrong defends Landis or Landis will spill all the dirt he knows on Armstrong.
if Landis will actually do it or not is a whole different story.

meanwhile, if Di Luca is convicted, he'll be suspended until....January next year....[sarcasm]yay....that'll teach him [/sarcasm]
that would mean he would miss this year's World Championships, Giro di Lombardia and absolutely nothing else that would matter to him

How will he sleep at night? A ban during the off-season? So harsh! |

if Landis will actually do it or not is a whole different story. He won't, unless he's really desperate, which can't be case now that Armstrong is defending him and that not suprisingly at all he's claiming his innocence again.
If he'd do that, that wouldn't matter that much to Armstrong, but Landis would lose his credibility (he has none in Europe, but quite a lot in the USA, right ?), Armstrong would only go away by saying Landis is jealous and trying to make money, that he'd never have taken dope, and that Landis might have French ancestors. |

I didn't realise that, but as Ruben says, January will most likely be this year.

Lefevre has offered Bettini a contract for the 2009 season, being willing to give him 2 million € for a year. However, Bettini declined the offer, saying that he would like to finish on the top (by winning the Olympics). |
