I was kinda just joking to be honest.

I did indeed merge Paul Kimmage and David Walsh... Thats the result when you read up on a topic on two different websites... Jaysus christ! (Btw, I corrected it now!) My Bad!

Found an interesting point on the CN Forum, wonder what everyone thinks:

But I still don't get the need for such a ridiculous dominance, when just following wheels would be more than enough for Froome to win the Tour at this point, along with more credible performances.

I know isso pointed out that there's still the Wiggins vs. Froome leadership debate, but let's be serious: a 34 year old is no match for a rider just entering his prime.

Or maybe Sky's suffering from bonehead tactics too, like many other teams.

News on the drug GAS6 that Thomas Frei mentioned when talking about Froome.

It's undetectable and has the same effect as EPO. It was developed by a belgian university team led by......Leinders.

EDIT: Belgian not dutch. Duh.

Bit late, but I can't find an single reference to this. Got a link?

The power meter has grown sentient, and Froome has no choice but to obey it. Hence why he looks at it every two seconds to make sure he is not incurring it's displeasure

Interesting. It can, partially, explain Froome's post-bilharzia improvement, but as it says, the EPO boost would be only temporary, and Froome has been performing quite consistently during the last year (leaving the Vuelta aside, where he was cooked after a 3 months peak including the Tour). That's not possible with a single EPO "dose", as big as that boost might be.

More interesting is this bit:

I would be very interested to see what his passport looks like. Since he and Sky have been very open about the effect of the disease on red cells, they must have seen some very dramatic changes in their levels. It makes me wonder how they were able to define a baseline at all.

If it's not possible to define a baseline for Froome's values, his biopassport would be pretty much useless. That'd be like throwing a 2007 (pre BP) rider against 2013 (post BP) competition, which is consistent with what we've seen.

And, it'd offer an alternate explanation for why Froome seem to have improved way more than any other Skyborg (the other being that he's a super responder).

Perhaps Froomebot is just running on a newer, better OS than the other Skybots? They haven't had time to upgrade yet.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Nah, since Murdoch had his trouble, the sales decreased. There was less money available, so they couldn't ask the major programmers anymore. They then turned to Cyanide for the other riders, and we know what happens then.

Leinders is not listed as an author on the paper. How is he linked to it?

At the clinic they said he's mentioned in a powerpoint presentation

Googling Geert Leinders and KULeuven only result is that powerpoint about sports ethics and doping that describes part of the 07 Rabo system.

I don't think Leinders had anything to do with gas6

When you are on a lot of "substances", you never think clear or right, do ya' Pfft ?

You can get pretty cooked up

Aquarius do you think that Aicar is the new state of the art fat-burner compared to the old favourite Clenbuterol ?

I think I will sneak a bit around in the bodybuilding environment here in DK, and hear what they have to say about it. And who uses it (If they started it)

EDIT: Based on some of abovementioned articles i see an increase in endurance performance at the level of 44 %.

Clenbuterol does not do that, you get a bit more hyper, but nowhere near in ^^ that level

Why can't you simply enjoy watching it like some years ago...
It's the greatest race, with the greatest riders in their best shape and you wonder if they achieve something great?!?!?!?

When their favourites got caught they said "Never again... well sort of, I mean he wasn't REALLY doped, he just signed for the wrong team and his doctors really made a convincing case. Anywho, if someone is too good then they must be doped, there are no other explanations at all even if there is."

I for one hope that he's clean, I hope all are clean.

When my favourite (Vinokourov) got caught, I swapped allegiance to Rasmussen. It took 1 day for him to get chucked out. So I started to look at things with a more inquisitive eye. It wasn't a very knowledgeable one (I was 12 or 13 at the time) but I slowly started to realise what was actually going on. I've never believed the excuses after the fact and now I find it hard to before. Once you've seen history repeat itself endlessly (and much more so for the older members on here) you stop automatically believing everyone is clean. Instead, you start to assess the situation. I hope they're all clean, sure, but I'd be an idiot to believe it. I don't like seeing sport made a mockery of.

This. As this Tour is my 19th in the row i am watching, i have seen all that famous dopers claiming all the stuff that we hear now and i am sick of it.
I'll be back
