Eh. No. Riders that can be "one-man-trains" should be that high, not Renshaw, who is ineffective without a train. Riders like Danilo Hondo for example.

The question about diesels and attacker should easily be handled by Cyanide if they used the stat Accelerate properly in the mountains. Im no programer but it shouldent be to hard to make that right without another stat.

Even if you are not a programmer you should know that AI programming is hard. If you really cannot figure out why then just consider this: There are millions of possible situations and there are 200 riders in the peloton. If you want that the game runs smoothly you need to simplify but keep it "intelligent" at the same time.

I think the game should have under 23 world cup in both TT and road race. And i think it would be fatastic if it cuold be possible to race in the olympics every 4. year. Using the real road for the 2012 olympic games.Banana

Does ACC mean anything?

acceleration value is connected with red bar consumption, and it is not connected with speed variation
you can see here a test video between cyclists with same skills except acc=80 versus acc=60

Did you see the race today? Renshaw was all alone and thanks to him, cav was able to win

I think db makers could add them as U23-races like Tour de l’Avenir or LBL U23 are included in the game, but of course you couldn't play them.

A lot of valid points beeing mentioned, and there are some of my hopings (probably some beeing discussed already.

For me, the biggest issues is career-mode and annoying bugs that never gets fixed.

1. Interaction between manager and riders, sponsors, between riders, media etc. Missing the personal connection.. In, lets say FM, i feel terrible if I sack a loyal player who is getting old, in PCM it's just a rutine. Something has to be done.

2. The effort each rider puts into a race reflects how tired a rider get over a season, not how many day he is racing. If a rider never break 170 heart rate in a race, he shouldn't get tired. This will make it more realistic in the way of beeing a helper in one grand tour, leader in another (The Schlecks).

3. Possibility to renew a contract with your current sponsor (can't understand how they managed to see past that in '11).

5. BUGS/annoying stuff over several editions:
-When stopping rewind, why the hell do the riders get off the bike and making the positioning in the peloton go bananas?
-More filter-possibilities in create a custom team. Friggin' annoying that you cant filter on FLAT stat etc.
-All the scroll-bars and stuff are a mess with bugs all over.

These bullet points under is copy-pasted from my post in "The hopings for PCM'11" thread, edited for the improvements in PCM '11.

* More news about riders, races (before and after), teams, roomers and so on.. (not the exact same text etc all the f... time..)

* Ability to see riders skills in flat, fighter etc (without clicking on each rider) when creating a custom team

* Filtering-system for skills, age etc when creating a custom team

* More complex negotiations when signing riders. Some riders wants high salary, others wanting role as captain, some focus on races the team is attending, team-mates, requires signing of additional rider(s) etc). Dunno if this is just for me, but if I contact a rider in say for example in February, I get the return-message: "negotiations will start in July", but it never does.

* A search-field in career-mode which searches through the whole database (trainers, scouts, riders, teams, races and so on).

* More playable for new players. A tutorial for the different tabs, options and so on in career-mode. More helpful tips (in magazine tab, logical?njee). Ability to choose a custom shirt in-game, manager-picture for a custom team (browse from anywhere on your hard-drive). Yeah, I know thees things are possible to do with editors, in the databases, in the files etc. but I think new players would appreciate it.

* Fix the alt+tab problem (without have to disable start-up videos).

* Teams founding and folding throughout the years:
- Should be some logic in new squads
Personal relationships between riders, sponsors, trainers, managers, good mix of riders(Not like Contador, Schlecks S. Sanchez, Menchov etc), main goals and riders match. I mean: new team with, lets say the Schlecks as absolute leaders shouldn't be targeting the cobbled classics as main goals etc.

* Downhill and fighting should be trainable.

* Personal relationships between riders, sponsors, managers.
Variables: Nationality, previous teams, co-work, media enemies etcetcetc

* Replace or get rid of the terrible music

* Commentator-improvements. Only tested the English one though.
Talk about riders, teams, line-ups, history(of riders, teams, races), the season, future, conditions, bikes, technical etcetc. Just get some variation. Not the same old same...
Would be awesome with detailed commentary in sprints. Like :" Hushovd takes Cav's wheel. The Garmin-Team is building as fast-going train on the right-hand side of the road. Hushovd cant keep Cav's wheel" and so on. Would make so much more exciting than: "And there goes the mass sprint, it's going to be veery faaast".....

Its getting late here, and I got so many more ideas and hopings, so if anyone want them, tell me.

I am quoting a review from Norways biggest video-game review site, translated with google translate. Think this is so spot on:

"Communication with riders is something that seriously needs to be fixed up. Even if a rider is the clear captain and wins everything he runs, he may still refuse to sign a new contract and change teams. Without any dialogue that stands out the more this is meaningless. The riders also claims a violation of the contract if you give them a different role than what is stated in the contract. This feels like a very small dynamic system and it is the length of a greater annoyance.

Communication with the media is so bad that I do not understand why it is. If you win a race you will be able to boast of your rider to the press, team, or directly to him. If the rider is getting second in a race, the game will automatically interpret it to mean that you are very disappointed not to win, even if it was an impossibility and the second is a tremendous achievement for your team. There are many such items that are simply too easy and that constantly breaks the illusion of being a true cycling manager."

I'm sorry but I don't really get the video. What does it show? Could you (or someone else) briefly explain that to me?

As mentioned, I copy pasted from my reply in the "hopings for pcm'11" thread and that was posted before Cancellara signed up for LEOPARD. But you get the point, don't you?

Unrealistic sponsor goals in general. Should have been some long-term goals, such as win tdf in 3 years etc. When creating a custom team with minimum $, you are not even able to get a wildcard for the races they want you to win

I don't really think they should bother to much with either graphics no gameplay, at the moment it's pretty solid. I would like to see a new version with a new focus on the managment part. At the moment, the managment part is about as shallow as it can be.

I know it's unfair to compare PCM to FM, but still it needs to be done. Even though cycling and football are two completely different sports there are still some aspects that should be brough over to PCM. For example; the finance part. No team in the world gets their income solely from sponsors and races, there are publicity stunts, jerseys, photos, etc. This is just one of many aspects I feel need a rewamp.

Agree with most of the post, although I dont need all the micromanagement that have been suggested. What I would like to se is a better "records" section. Instead of only being able to see "most stage wins in TdF", make it a top 100 instead. And do it for every aspect and for all races. Fx "most TT wins i Vuelta" etc. I think it would be an easy add to the game.

The feature i want the most is Co-op career. I feel that i more than often neglect some of my riders, especially on mountain stages. It would be really cool if you could control half the riders in the race and a friend(Lan or/and internet) could control the other half.

It could be really fun and make for some great teamwork. The best example is when there is a breakaway that makes it to the finish line. 1 player would then control the rider/riders in the breakaway, while the other would control the GC or another rider in the peloton. Making the game much more like real life...

That would be so awesome... Grin

I think there should be an possibility to interact with other riders during a race.

Example:
- Make other teams work together with your team
- Get all the riders in the breakaway to cooperate
- Agree that one rider in the breakaway takes the mountain or sprint points

And other kind of communication during a race, and also as mentioned in other posts, better communication with riders in the management part.

I agree with that, in a older game of pcm, if the other rider in the breakwont wont cooperate, you could push of button to tell him to cooperate. And it could be like in the ps3 version

I would also like to see a feature which shows the climb you are climbing at that time, it is much nicer in like LBL if you know which climb you are riding
