Can we expect any news before the release? Or is the cover-thing the only thing for this month?
They're keeping themselves really in the shadows, last year at this time we already had the second trailer...
It may be a good news actually , if they choose not to show any trailer because they're working on the gameplay. Last year they were so proud of the new graphics , they wanted to show it to the whole world.
In the grand scheme of things, a trailer is very easy to produce
Don't take it as some form of indication that gameplay has magically improved.
As with all cyanide things - be wary!
I wouldn't say producing a trailer is easy. You have to remind that it isn't Cyanide, but Focus who creates the trailers. And i think there are many steps to do, for example building a stable game maybe without the graphical overlays, then the Focus employees have to find some beatiful or interesting scenes for the trailer and then put it together and spread it over the world, etc. That could take some days, i think.
Atleast we know that they won't take much time in searching for a fitting music for the trailer

Well, if I'm not mistaken, they have used the in-game music in the trailers before. |

Not a news at all but....
I talked to Amazon.uk about general stuff and they confirmed that the Pre Orders for Pro Cycling Mananger 2011 on their site will begin in less than a month, maybe faster.

Small german description of the new game. Nothing new though.
Confirms everything we saw on the backcover.

- Overhauled cyclist and stage design
- Exiting season mode with 62 official teams and over 170 events
- New intuitive GUI
- Highly improved stage editor for creating own stages

Apart from this by Freire
Sorry but i don't think it's a real official coverpack.
it's probably something done with an old game product info because "new intuitive interface" is not a feature of the game, so please be careful and wait for official announcements (don't ask me when, i don't know when).
Again i'm not working on the marketing/commercial part of the game, so i'm not 100.00% sure of what concern this part but i'm 200% sure that "new intuitive interface" is not planned on PCM11.

It's a bit irritating to see what is going on there...Maybe the problem is the combo Focus/Cyanide? I know that they don't talk to us much, but it seems they also do not talk to eachother about certain things.
I don't know. |

If Focus is the publisher, all the information about the new game should come from them. If Cyanide does not provide information, then it is still Focus who is responsible. They could contact Cyanide and then release info.
But maybe the game will not be released by Focus anymore and that is why it is so silent. Who knows? |

Yes, Focus is still the publisher. But you're right, only they are responsible for marketing issues.
Apparently there was some kind of Testing session yesterday (friday) in Pantin (nearby Paris). Focus apparently hosted it, as they've invited french users in the official forum.

They announced that a day earlier But maybe someone, who saw it and took a day off and a ride ( all within a day ) and made it there could tell us something about the game....

I'm pretty sure that they - just as all other testers - are forced to sign a NDA.
So, we'll have to wait for more weird back covers to get more info, it seems. |

Ok so there was another testing session this week (announced it earlier so that people could actually plan to go there).
According to a user from PCMBenelux who seems to have contact to one of the testers, there are some infos about the PS3-version:
It seems to be a game like the 2002 "Tour de France" game from Konami. You can steer your rider left and right and you can even fall.
But, there is only the Tour de France - no other race. And apparently no online Multiplayer.
Don't know how reliable these informations are, but it's kinda believable. But still, nothing officially confirmed on that.

After seeing the first images from the game I can allready say that I won't have a chance to get that good graphics. I can't really tell the difference between PCM 08 and PCM 10 on my computer.
I hope this isn't gonna be another year where they focus only on graphics. |

Those who played PCM 10 on medium graphics should play PCM 11 same, the graphics engine didnt change so the requirments won't be very big I believe. I really hope they have focused on gameplay. I like they improving equipments etc. but that can be done by brilliant communtity. Gameplay can't.
Crue True - you usually don't asnwer PM's but could you answer the one I send you later ? Thanks

No screenshots and no official news. All we have is a rumour saying that it's a bit like Konami's Tour de France game from 2002 (where you control one rider). |
