No punctures. Fill up my tires every time I ride. I don't know if it's a good thing, but I still have the ones that came with the bike.

So do I. They're wearing a bit now though, but still good for now.

I reckon one in the last 3 years or so.

I'm riding like one third of what I did at 15/16 now, but I had like 5 to 10 punctures a year back then. Still I changed tires regularly, but there'd always been something sharp on the road that I wouldn't see (it's harder to see when you do group or peloton rides).

I had 2 quite soon apart after I bought my Trek; I put them down to the Bontrager tyres which were poor. I now have Panaracers and have had no problems.

I also had one recently on my mountain bike, but that was a shiny screw that went through the tyre and caused a huge hole as I removed it.

I dont see it as much now, but when i was racing i used to have bulletproof gel on the inside of my tyres and never got any punctures Wink

Hi guys,
So tommorow my exams are finally finished.
I'll participate in a race on the 3rd of October  I'm curious to see how that will work out for me as I didn't really had time to train in the last 2! months because I was learning. As there are a lot of starters they will have a few starting blocks. They take the results from last year to put riders in the starting blocks - so I will be in the first one. I'm not too sure if that's a good thing though:lol: hopefully I can keep up - the block should ride an average of 40km/h again, but its only about 60 km long Grin
So dont expect to see me here from tommorow on - I will be on the bike training 24/7 Pfft but I'm really looking forward to the race as it is a lot of fun

First very wet ride in a while for me today marked by my first fall since getting a bike 2 years ago. The very last corner of the ride too. Got off very lightly with just minor cuts and road rash and only a slight tear in my jacket. A timely reminder to give a wet road a little more respect Embarassed

Thanks to experiences with the kids I have discovered the healing power of Sudocrem (every one should have a vat, seriously Grin) which should have me fully healed within a few days. One good thing about falling in the wet is more slide, less hurt.

Actually in a strange, irrational sort of way it's a relief to get the first accident out of the way - is that normal?!

I have climbed all 3 of the climbs but never in one day, the last climb is a beast at the start and the road surface is pretty poor which makes you feel like your stuck to the road.

Sounds nasty. I know how much of a difference a heavy road surface makes to my riding up a 250m hill near me let alone a mountain.

I had three punctures this year, could be worse.

Conti Grand Prix 4000s - Pricey tires, but I've put 8-10000 miles on two sets over a couple of years, and had one flat during that time. Durable as hell.

None in about 4500km, but don't know what kind of tyres Smile

I built myself a look with Zipp tubulars on it, and still haven't punctured after what 2 years? Broke a couple of spokes and a car crash destroyed a frame though Smile so it all comes out in the wash.

I'm a duathlete, I did junior national championships last year and failed miserably, most of the other stuff I've done has been club level. I've run for my borough too, which is always good fun.

Really at heart I'm a cyclist, and a climber at that. I've done Madeleine, Alpe dHuez, Glandon/Croix de Fer, Puerto San Glorio and the last 100km of the Vuelta stage this year to Fuente De. (Not been passed too many times I might add) Shame I live and study in London is all I can say Sad

Best tires out there for clinchers. I work at a bike shop and we sell them in equal amounts as all other tires combined. Maybe even more.
