Not to many races for both of thrm..ofcorse Mayo was taking part in Giro also...but taking easy ..he was invisible 2 first weeks. Preparation for TdF was looking good. Valverde is another chapter wich we should talk after TdF.

I've suffered from mononucleosis too. it's no big deal. well, it is at the time, but after a few months you're COMPLETELY back to normal.
Cunego has been the same. the others just don't let him get into breakaways and get 5 minutes on them like they did in 2004.
as for Valverde, he always fades after the beginning of 3-week tours, but that doesn't explain it all. this time he faded dramatically and suddenly.
