That matter is the riders to be clean and to produce a great show
I'm almost 100% sure we won't be seeing a clean tour - the dopers will sign the agreement, and then hope not to get caught. As to whether it will be a great show, only time will tell

I am really looking forward to the tour, but it may be scarred by the doping, hopefully someone clean wins it.

I really doubt it, but I do hope.

I heard that they tried to make the RR as hilly as they could. What sort of big hills have we got. There should be a stage in the scottish highlands, that would sort the men from the boys

hilly? you mean sunday's stage one? it's pretty flat. odd hill or two, but nothing to upset anyone. sprint finish 99.9% certain. only chance otherwise is if one of the favorites punctures, everyone has to wait for him and the break makes it because of that (last year, the stage that the AG2R guy won....was it Calzati? can't remember...)

For those doubting Wiggins ability: On tuesday he rode a training rider of 8km and averaged 1 kmph under Boardman's record speed for a prologue.

I'm not doubting Wiggins. I'm just saying I don't think he'll win. and it figures that the record was broken (again, not saying he doesn't have quality), this is supposed to be the fastest prologue ever. completely power-riding, full on. more than one rider has so far said that there's only one turn that you need to brake a bit.

Cancellara even said yesterday that he felt that he could win it .. and since he's usually a humble guy, that's a quite surprising comment But there's no doubt that Wiggins is as much a favourite as Cancellara. |

As we should be
Today could be a great day for Britain. A win in the prologue in Britain, a win at Silverstone by Hamilton, and victory at Wimbledon...oh, wait, damn

something tells me Crommy is in for triple disappointment... (and no, I don't have anything against brits).
I'd like Wiggins to win because he seems like a nice guy. still more than two hours until the start.

News:
Verdict in the Landis-case today
Marco Fertonani has tested positive for testosterone during February's Tour Med.
Gilberto Simoni seems to be on his way to Serramenti Diquigiovanni - Selle Italia. He would stand to make 800.000 euros with that team. |

1. was supposed to be yesterday. let«s hope it's a fair verdict.
2. absolutely no surprise there.
3. surprise. good for Gilberto. he has said that he will never again ride for GC in the Giro, but only to support someone else.

2. No, it's not surprising, considering the fact that he rides for Caisse
3. .. and this will probably also result in a wildcard for Serramenti. |
