So when are the bulk of the road races going to be done. There wont be very many for TDF if they dont hurry up.

Oh right so by sunday all the nationals will be sorted out. Boogerd for Dutch! is he competing this year. if not then Gesink, but hes not in the tour

all except:
canadian -next week
british - postphoned and will be sometime after the tour
dutch TTS and belgian TTs -for some reason have in the last few years either been cancelled or run in september (unlike the road races). no idea how it is this year
USA champs - september
Australia - past January
Brazil - same
New Zealand - same
Colombia - past april (before you ask, Botero the TT and don't know about the RR)
South africa - april, I think

so he was....more than two minutes back. something tells me his goal of being KOM at the Tour will be a distant mirage in two weeks time

Yes, because you get lots of KoM points in time trials [/sarcasm]
Not that I think he has much of a chance of winning the jersey anyway, but just because he didnt win the french TT championships doesnt mean he has no chance at Le Tour.

Andy is way off form. it's his first race after the Giro. anyway, he won it last year, so it's not a big loss.

no. he was wearing the white. otherwise he would've
he wore it in stage1 I think.

actually Joachim won last year. Andy won in 2005. but you're right. he was the only contender
in other news, Spain's title goes to Palacios. to no-one's surprise, that is.
