wow there team is going to own the CT division. Barlo should get basso, then they would be two class teams to replace disco and unibet B)

I hope Barloworld dont sign Basso, signing a doped rider won't help them at all

just because he doped once doesnt mean he will again, i mean everyone here sings millers praises Frown whats the difference, hes british

yeah but Millar admitted it and served his time, he's a reformed character! Basso hasn't done - he lied to avoid getting caught because it would spell the end of his best cycling years. You don't need people like that ruining the sponsors reputation.

Karl_rab
what about if he does admit it, i mean what other choice did miller have, everyone alredy knew he did it, he was just trying to save his skin.

yeah well he didn't lie about it, transfer to another team, lie to them, then be pretty much caught. Its the ongoing denial and a lack of remorse that annoys me about Basso

Karl_rab
well if he had a decent agent, he would come out about it. all im saying, is one doper isnt different to another, if push came to shove then every single one of them would apologise, thats why i think miller is exactly like basso and vice-versa.

Basso is scum. He denied every doping, went to Discovery lied to them then finally 'admitted' before quickly changing his plan to the fact that he only 'planned' to do it.

Millar is one of the very very few who doped who just came straight out and admitted it, now he's doing his best to kick doping out. Which is more than can be said for Basso, Landis, Vinokourov, Ullrich etc etc

I have no problem with riders like Millar who served their time and returned. I also dont have much of a problem with riders who continued to deny it but at least served and accepted their ban, like Hamilton or Heras.

I totally agree with you SN on this one. If Basso came out right now and apologised, admitted what hes done and accepts his ban maybe my opinion of him would change a little. Then again he's likely to be like Vino, and do nothing to fight doping which is spoiling the beautiful sport of cycling
