either Evans is extremely strong today, or Moreau has just won the Dauphine.
Kash didn't even try to react. he just kept going at "I'm blown" pace.

done. Moreau first overall, Evans second.
Kasheshkin, Menchov, etc lost about 1:20-1:30
Zabriskie also lost about 25 secs to those guys.

this is getting quite interesting...
group of 30 or so about to finish the ascent. if they get to the end together, it's interesting to try and guess who wins, since none of them are sprinters.
Zabriskie and Gustov both climbing very well. compared to how bad the've been so far this season
EDIT: the only reason Kash hasn't been dropped is that Vino keeps pushing him and pushing him...
if he doesn't get a penalty, it's a scandal

AHA!
Kash dropped!
Zabriskie just keeps proving Riis right. remember, Riis said a few weeks ago that DaveZ's "bad time trials" recently were because he had stopped training them to focus solely on climbing.
well, guess what...he's up there with the best right now (granted, he's in top form and they're not, but it's still impressive).
I always thought he had the potential to be a GC racer, but lately I'd come to doubt if he'd ever fulfill it.
EDIT: just realized that if Evans wins, he might win the overall on time bonuses

It's a really interesting stage. A lot happens, and if Zabriskie can make an attack he will really prove his worth - and his GC-talent. |

Leipheimer attacked...had a reasonable lead.
Vino attacked to follow, was rapidly gaining and is now in front since Levi crashed hard!
he doesn't seem all that well. Seems the kind of case where it'll be weeks before we can be sure of how this affected him physically.
meanwhile, Vino seems like he'll win, since nobody's chasing hard at all...

Nice win by Vino, as always showing his fighting spirit after nearly being dropped on the climb.
now I'm switching over to the Tour de Suisse (that's usually a very exciting race)

How Vino managed to take easy on the climbs...?
Suisse tour is also one of my favorite one |
