More news in the Rasmussen scandale.
Someone has guessed the password of Michael Rasmussen's e-mail address and has offered all the e-mails to the Danish newspaper, B.T. They have denied, though, but among the e-mails you can find the dismissal notice and details of where Rasmussen was in June. |

Slipstream have signed a former Paris-Roubaix winner!!!
No news on who though yet
After team director Jonathan Vaughters confirmed yesterday the signing of Saunier Duval's David Millar and two Team CSC stars Christian Vande Velde and Dave Zabriskie, he revealed today that the team has also signed a former winner of Paris-Roubaix.
Vaughters would not be drawn to comment on who the latest signing is, but the list of non-retired recent winners is short, namely: Stuart O'Grady (2007), Fabian Cancellara (2006), Tom Boonen (2005), Magnus Backstedt (2004), and Peter Van Petegem (2003).
Backstedt. wanna bet? |

He didn't exactly say it, but he didn't want a B-test which is the same as admitting dope use. |

Vicente Reynès won the small classic Circuito de Getxo today in spain.
why is this not in the "other races" thread?
because I noticed Ibán Mayo's name in the results

That's actually pretty funny, I think. Just proves how little the Spanish people cares about dopeheads |

Astana are suspending activities for a month
And to finish the Sinkewitz-case, Sinkewitz admitted that he used a testo-gel and refused opening the B-sample. |

What I read today was that the idea was to have a mix of national teams and sponsored teams.
I read it today...I feel it's stupid and in a hurry thought. As I undrestand only brtish have liked it. This will destroy all point. How club can make is plans in early season..if they might lose a rider for national team. We have already world championship ..thats enough. This model has they have now has worked decades..and well. This all feels like Max Mosley move..who destroyed rally and almost also F1. It's always danger to change something radicaly...they dont get more fans. There is opposite way danger that some fan will loose their intrest. Another example cross sky'ing..all those Gundersen methods ..sprints... mass starts hasnt done any good. Only good thing they did was last year debut race...tour of sky.. and where they take it ..? From cycling. |

Aitor González is going to trial. apparently he was caught driving under influence of alcohol and cocaine.
I was wondering what had happened to him.
he was suspended. then the suspension was overturned. after that I didn't hear anything else. seems like it's really hit him hard. |
