The French cycling federation will now most probably be excluded by UCI. The French Anti Doping authorities will be responsible for the doping control during the Tour de France next year. UCI has said that they will exclude the French federation if they cooperate with ASO.
Team CSC's sponsorship with CSC ends in 2008, but they are currently negotiating about a new contract. Velo Club reported yesterday that CSC will extend the contract until 2013, but that was denied today by CSC.

I didn't even know there was such an award. this year's Ronde was crap compared to previous years nobody attacked until the Muur.
who judges that award?

The award was given at the Pro Tour party last week in Como, so I guess the UCI. |

EU to consider criminalising doping
hope this happens.
also, the presentation of the Tour route is on Thursday, not Friday the 26th as had been reported

And of course, Vasseur, the riders' representative, have now said negative things about the blood passport. He says that some riders will be suspected without reason for it.
To me that just shows it will probably work
About the blood passport, UCI has now said that they would like to make it possible to give the riders a punishment if their blood values differ too much without a logical reason. This means a positive test for a banned substance will no longer be needed.
The case about Museeuw has been postponed once again. I don't think the Belgians would like to give Museeuw a punishment

hopefully they'll take things into account, like the way some values lower immenselly throughout months of prolonged effort. I remember Kim Andersen commenting that Andy Schleck's blood values fluctuated a lot naturally. I could just call that a cover up by Andersen, but I'm not that cynical

Vasseur has been a dopehead from the beginning till the end of his career, no wonder he's trying to save his fellow doped riders asses now.
Blood passport is definitely a good thing. But I guess we'll find top riders who'll defend the Human Rights again and will be opposed to it, whereas sucky French riders will fool Human Rights and say it's a good thing. |

velonews says that it's confirmed that the Tour won't have a prologue next year.

Lots can change, but as it looks now, no Danes will be present in the 08 Tour Rasmussen is probably out for good, and no other Danes are anywhere near TdF-potential. And Chris Anker Sørensen is too young
And it now seems like Sinkewitz really has mentioned a lot about how the doping system works, what the doctors do, etc.. He's now a crown witness, and that means his punishment will probably be mild.
(edit: Just saw that the following was mentioned in the Transfer news)
Rumours say that Unibet.com's manager will bring his PT-license to Team L.P.R meaning that LPR will become a PT-team too. With Di Luca gone from Liquigas, LPR could be a team for him. Savoldelli is also rumoured to the team.

kashechkin has hired Jean-Marc Bosman's lawyer and intends to have this case turn into a precedent for banning doping tests. he threatens to take this to the supreme court of human rights. frankly, that scares me. that court is far too literal and takes things too far.

Patrice Clerc has said that M. Rasmussen is welcome at next year's Tour as long as he's willing to accept the blood passport which will be a criterion to start at the Tour.
M. Rasmussen responded today, saying that it would be no problem at all.
I'm shocked. |

Mr. Clerc said that Micheal Rasmussen can be allowed to race Tour de France in 08, IF he accepts to have one of those blodpas thingy.
Micheal Rasmussen said it was no problem and he would glady be using it.
He also said that he would be more motivated in next years Tour then in 07. Because he had some unfinished Business. ( Winning and completing )
So i guess if he gets a contract and it all works out. Michael is gonna win Tour de France 08?

Pantani's has now said to the public that she wants the case about her son's dead reopened, because she believes he was killed (and that he didn't commit suicide which is the official explanation). |

Jaksche has said that Riis threathened him when he said that he would speak publically about his doping career. Riis said that he would make sure that he'd never get back to cycling, etc.
Riis has surprisingly partly admitted it. He said that he only adviced Jaksche that it wouldn't be a good idea to involve other people in it since there would be no good outcome. |

Astana will get a completely new kit next year. Bruyneel has said that there might ba little bit of light blue left, but that's it. Everything else will be different |

Maybe im insane, but i believe Riis has threatened him.

that's kind of going in a better direction.
Bruyneel is changing the kit completley because he's trying to start on a completley new slate and to show that the doping situation will hopefully be different as well
