my personal pick is Schumacher. he's focused his whole season on the road race.
probably the only guy this season who used the Tour as a build-up race |

oh yeah forgot about him, they may pick him though, he had a great Giro and a pretty good TdF
and i think it'll be a suprise this year, i think they will underestimate someone on the mountains and they will win

Its a shame because Wegelius is probably GB's greatest chance if he got in a breakaway or something...Although you can never underestimate Millar in the mountains, especially if he's not conserving energy for future stages...Just how mountainous is the profile? |

"Two Days at Ã…rhus" was raced today, but was stopped halfway through today's stage, because a man was shooting at the riders with an air gun. |

There's an interesting article about the Floyd Landis case in New York Times. It's not a "cycling" story, it's more of an personal Floyd Landis-story which describes the past year for Floyd Landis in detail:

portuguese cyclist Joaquim Andrade hit an aluminium structure that the strong winds had pushed onto the road.
he is hospitalised with internal bleeding and a suspected concussion.
his status is labelled severe |

Here's a NYTimes article on Floyd Landis....kind of sympathetic to his cause.
https://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/19/spo...=1&_r=2&hp
Right now, best thing he can do is prepare and just raise hell next time he comes back. |

Big flaw in the Worlds riders per country allocation.
Iran gets 6 riders, yet Britain gets only 3 - the same as Tunisia!
Luxembourg are allocated 9 riders, but have only got 4 protour riders!
Also, the likes of Hungary, Estonia, Moldova, Serbia, Albania, Ecuador, Bolivia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Iran, Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Uzbekistan, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, China, Algeria, and Kenya all have riders in the U23 race - yet Britain and Sweden have none!?
