My Swahili is quite crappy as I haven't spoken any for about 6 years
but my pronounciation is quite good. The worst is if you hear americans(or even British) trying to speak it. Sounds horrible

it's a well established fact that whatever your native language is has a huge influence on your ability to pronounce other languages. and english is by far the worst of all the ones I know in that respect.
english speakers speaking most languages are horrible.
except for Sir Bobby Robson with portuguese...that's just funny
